I wouldn't call that "decoded" so much as "highly speculated upon". I wouldn't call this article B.S. but this article is total B.S. Whoever wrote it just lost all sorts of credibility.
I think you meant "Game of Thrones" opening. That was incredible.
CNN is pretty terrible, and Jon Stewart takes them to task for it almost as much as Fox. I'm not sure how you think advocating "government intervention" is a distinguishing factor between the two. Are you talking about Syria? Was it some sort of Network Consensus? And to suggest that Fox doesn't or hasn't advocated for the government to step in is plain wrong. I'll just stick with Fox narratives to push for war in Iraq and more recently, in Iran as examples.
Some links would be good. Fox News is consistently negative, lacking context, and rabble-rousing to a degree that isn't seen in those other networks. I'll say that our media tends to be pretty terrible across the board in this country, but Fox News is blatant partisan propaganda a lot of the time. You should click on the link in the article about confirmation bias, though. Your conclusion that Fox is persecuted because they are conservative is plain wrong. They're condemned becaus...
I will buy anything put out by Quantic after Heavy Rain, and this tech demo was riveting. I want more. The hint thing embedded in the demo was pure conjecture though. May be true, but the title had a ring of certainty to it. Be fun if it was, though!
Holy crap are you serious? If you are, you're a total freak. If not, carry on.
You know, I read the article and the video and there really isn't much in the way of "manipulation" going on there. In fact your suggested line of "More romance options to fit a wider audience" looks a lot like the line that was actually used in the article: "Wider options for love interests".
Hmmm, your first sentence was so reasonable. And your second seems strangely judgmental. I will neither agree nor disagree, I reckon'.
Haha, and so they can't say "same-sex" or "gay"? I get what you're saying but at the same time, it is juvenile to have a whitewashed concept of real world relationships just because some people get upset. It IS growing up to move past protecting some peoples' tender sensibilities and including a spectrum of the types of relationship dynamics that actually occur in the real world. Now about it being interracial...I'm kidding. That's so 1950's.
I'm totally impressed. Looks fun. Wheeee!!!
That is totally awesome. I hated that droid. Even if it is an off-peak time, it's pretty telling that no one was around what should be the busiest location on the server. Hilarious.
This looks sweet! I like the 1v1v1 mechanic. Lots of double-crossing temporary alliances to be had.
I hope your success is limited to your own standards, and you don't complain when people steal 25% of your work. Godspeed.
Man, logic problems abound in this stupid argument. Not least of which is that Act-Blizz is not representative of any other game company. Don't base an entire argument like this on the grounds that a game publisher at the height of the field makes a lot of money. SOPA, PIPA go to hell and all mos def, but these justifications for stealing (exempting downloading to try and then supporting games you like) ring as hollow, obtuse, self-justifications.
Wow, that was the funniest Skyrim video yet!
Look, I know my language was harsh. First of all, we agree on some key points: piracy is a solution to region lockouts, and the people driving the local and global economy to the ground while pocketing hand over fist are a problem we need to deal with. Now, I'm not "fortunate". I buy about 2-3 games per year now. I have no job, I'm in massive school debt like so many others, but I research the games I want to get, and I save where I can. My point on calling someone a coward ...
Good point. That's still crazy numbers on Witcher 2, though. I would be pissed if I was on that development team and sunk so much time and care into that game.
I agree with some of your points, but to say that Piracy is or is not a problem is too simple. It's illegal (and should be) and cuts into the money game developers make. That might not be a problem to you, but it is to developers that make say, small indie games, that don't have ridiculous profit margins to keep making fun unique games. Or even huge blockbuster games for that matter. I feel like you're just letting people who want sh*t for free off the hook with this.
Yeah, there really is a lot of self-delusion about pirating. People will justify anything so they don't look bad to themselves. I download music and movies from time to time, but I'm not a coward by pretending I'm justified in doing it. If you pirate games that you have enjoyed, didn't end up buying it and don't recognize you did something wrong: You are a COWARD. Really. Shame on you, coward.
God, some people feel SO entitled. To play all the way through a very polished AAA title and find yourself disappointed with the ending, and think you deserve a refund is the height of arrogance and entitlement. Man, this argument could work with any product or service and the whole economy would come crumbling down because of entitled little *hits.
