Ah. Fair enough. I'm def gonna give it a chance based on the first game but this is a well-thought our critique.

Missed it by a few hours. You know. I'd be a loyal franchise fan for free. Easymoney.

Suweeet. I sense some Alan Wake mechanics here. That could be both good and bad.

Great list! Def looking forward to RDR2. Haven't played the Clancy games but I'm looking to expand if they're any good.

I would really like to believe you, I really would. But these women (and many others who dip into this issue) were in fact extensively harassed by an extraordinarily amount of people who identified as part of Gamergate. And no, these weren't a legion of trolls to make you and your friends look bad. These people exist in friendly forums and weren't called out for very anti-women statements (although much too late, some very modest attempts were made by some people to try and roll back ...

Oh thank god for you. I thought the n4g world was doomed to just believe the narratives of Activemessiah without a bs detector going off.

She cheated on her boyfriend. "F-d her way to the top". Grow up. Think about how your narrative is coming from a bitter place. Life happens. "Planned attack on Gamergate"? Conspiracy theories aren't for the healthy mind, friend. Start looking through some different lenses and you'll see gamergate gave cover to some really nasty views on women and didn't touch "ethics in game journalism" until long after that cat was out of the bag. The retroactive jus...

Haha. Kotaku, et al. aren't "bitter" over Gamergate. Quite the opposite. The world over has pretty much deemed Gg over and irrelevant. That's just my consensus from everything about it I've read and everyone I've talked to about it, and it's been that way almost from the the beginning of their PR catastrophe. But from inside the bubble it might look different. And she didn't have anything to do with censoring content, btw. But hey, sacrificial lamb for your ...

She didn't defend child porn. Your links actually show she's talking about this with some nuance. NUANCE. CONTEXT. It's what truth is actually all about. Your conclusion lacks it completely and I hope no one just simply believes what you say without doing some thinking on this.

Actually Nintendo is getting a ton of crap for this move. Because they were wrong. Your characterization sounds like it applies to this situation but no one thought like that in this situation. So...Straw man? They just gave into people following dog whistles. Again with a severely hard to mistake anti-woman bent. If everyone else sees it but you...

Nintendo sure made a mistake with this one. Giving into a bunch of hyper-aggressive punks. This whole nonsense about her being a pedophile with links to twitter and forums rather than people reading her lame essay should be a red flag but people keep thinking twitter is a "source". Weird how this harassment is always justified after the fact with the flimsiest logic. Gamergate is showing its turd-colored flag all over again. And here the world thought it was finally irrelevant. Some...

I like that idea that people can have private conversations. I also like the idea that if someone is a bigot, is hateful, is violent, abusive, in private...and it just so happens that their behavior comes to light by whatever means. SCREW THEM. Is it okay to have a hateful secret life and a polished public one? As if we don't get the difference. We're smarter than that. We know when someone is bullshi*ng us. You're a secret Nazi? You hate african americans? We happened to hear abo...

Feel free to jump to your unconditionally certain conclusions without the facts. I'm positively certain this hasn't stopped you before. Tell me more about what it's like to be black in America?

3884d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

@UnHoly_One- You do realize that black people are Disproportionately shot, killed, arrested, incarcerated, sentenced to die than white people are right? Somewhere around 15% of the country are african american. If you look at the numbers in light of this simple and fundamental statistical context things get a lot more clear. So your rant on "liberal" "left" boogymen is junk now. Confirmation bias being what it is, I don't hold out hope you'll ever see this perspect...

What's your point? I'm sorry, did you just disprove racism? Truly not sure what you're trying to do here.

You have no disrespect for ANYONE who uses that word? Man, what is it about "context" that you don't get? Why wouldn't you want to include something so fundamentally important as "context" to your worldview? Trust me, it'll help you not say awkwardly incorrect opinions like this in the future.

@ShaunCameron. What in the everloving Hell are you talking about? Do you even know? Are you against making the world a better place? Social infrastructure and job/retirement/health security? That would be really weird.

That sucks man. I have a partner who actually likes watching me play. Sometimes she and I rock some couch co-op too. Not saying you should do anything drastic, but woman gamers/friendly to gaming are out there and in way greater numbers than they ever used to be. For all this talk of gamers being stigmatized I guess I lucked out. I never really see it.

Thank goodness you're not in Public Relations because that's just straight up incorrect. You go out acting like a tough guy ("acting beta", really?) in the media after being labeled bullies and that will perpetuate the image you would be trying to abandon. There's a reason that a sincere mea culpa (ownership of a problem and accountability is SO "alpha" bro) is prescribed for PR situations regarding public disparagement. Because it works. Not to mention is way ...
