Nobody should be surprised by this though. ESO has been dumbing down combat since launch. From the changing of set bonuses from percentages to flat stats to the downgraded CP system, every change has been to reward people who can't be bothered to learn the game. Hell, they don't even call Bosmer by their name anymore because that is too much for some to figure out.

"There is one on my official Switch pro controller."

At least you agree with me. As you pointed out, in order to get a D-pad for your Switch you needed to buy an accessory.

Nintendo didn't invent most of the things you listed.

While Nintendo did invent the D-pad, it is amusing to see you brag about something that the Nintendo Switch doesn't even have.

Why does everything have to be preserved? This reminds me of tourists who go places and record everything they see so they "can remember" and their entire trip ends up being an experience behind a lens instead of enjoying the place that they are in. Impermanence does not make something bad. Plays and concerts are impermanent - does the author think they should be done away with because future generations are deprived of their experience? Are they hurting the preservation of mov...

Jordan Middler gave Horizon: Forbidden West a 10/10, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves a 10/10, God of War for PC a 10/10, and Demon's Souls a 10/10. When does this supposed XBox bias come into the picture? I noticed that you weren't posting any complaints about those Sony games receiving a higher-than-average score from VGC.

The same reviewer also gave Horizon: Forbidden West a 10/10. How exactly does "Sony haters" and "bombed by idiotic morons fanboys" apply here? Seems like it is the fanboys that are upset when a game isn't being universally praised by every single reviewer.

@lodossrage

"But each of those companies have LONG track records of success and have built the industry. Go ahead and tell me you can say the same thing for Google, Facebook, Amazon, Applet, etc." How exactly are companies supposed to get "LONG track records of success" if you think every newcomer has no place in the business? Atari, Nintendo, and Sega built the industry. Sony saw that there was money to be made there and joined in later. Same with M...

It is amazing how Bungie, a C-tier studio with predatory microtransactions, is being hailed here like they are the next coming just because that fits the fanboy narrative. People are actually excited that the company behind Eververse, sunsetting, and a transmog system that originally took 150 hours of total playtime just to max level it for a season are the ones that will be teaching Sony how to do live-service games.

You are supporting monopolistic and anti-consumer behavior because you have some misplaced notion about who is and isn't "good." They are all companies out to make money and it is through marketing that they have led some to believe that they are the good guys that know what is best for the industry.

"look at what has happened to the game companies that Amazon, Facebook, or Google have purchased so far compared to the rest of the industry" You mean...

A few decades ago the same thing could of been said about Sony and Microsoft getting into the videogame business. Would you have been so supportive of Nintendo buying up publishers to keep rival companies out?

Destiny just made Bungie $3.6 billion, why would they want to make something different? Insomniac Games makes better rated games than Bungie but since they are single-player games not filled with predatory microtransactions they only got $229 million from Sony.

Sony has clearly spoken with their checkbook about how they feel about live-service games filled with microtransactions.

It is pretty sad that some people think that Apple developed the computer mouse.

Definitely is a panic buy. Whether it is incredibly smart or incredibly stupid remains to be seen. Microsoft buys Call of Duty and Sony responds by buying the one studio with the pedigree to make the next big FPS. Of course, Bungie also has spent the last decade making Destiny and the progress of that game raises serious doubts about Bungie's ability to make great new content. We could get Presage or we could get Astral Alignment...

"LOL. Wut? You have got to be kidding. It has more content than most MMOs."

You need to start playing MMOs if you think Destiny 2 has more content than most of them. In 3 weeks Destiny 2 will remove The Tangled Shore as well as the latest (and only active) 4 seasons of content. The only new PVP maps in the last 2 years have been a few reissued from Destiny 1.

Destiny 2 has some good gameplay that I enjoy but Bun...

"This is just IGN, and other gaming news venues, hyping up features and then playing dumb when it's not full blown everywhere in the first year."

How exactly are "gaming news venues" the ones responsible for hyping up a feature that Sony themselves hyped up when they first released details about their next console? Sony didn't talk about the console name, games, or price but instead just focused on the hardware an...

Definitely the highpoint of the series. You were completely immersed in the environment and there was no pausing the game to look at the map or to instantly fast travel to anywhere. But hey - Far Cry 3 had Vaas who you fought as a quicktime event in a FPS, Texas holdem, and the ability to hunt animals to craft a backpack to hold more animal skins so you could craft a holster instead of just taking one off of the many people you kill.

""after Sony came off the end of the PS3 which was a financial hardship for them."" Sony spent $380 million buying Gaikai in July 2012 so I don't think "financial hardship" means what you think it means.

You keep trying to claim that the reason Sony closed 3 studios in 6 months was because their games weren't selling but no games were selling on the Vita and that certainly wasn't the fault of the studio...

"Highly selective... are you kidding, its games released in the last two years."

Like I said, highly selective. Sony first party games in the last 2 years have been Days Gone, Concrete Genie, Dreams, The Last of Us Part2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man Miles Morales, R&C Rift Apart, and MLB The Show(s) - yet you included games that were not first party, were not released in the last 2 years, and omitted games that are functionall...

In what world is January 12. 2012, March 29. 2012, and August 22. 2012 anywhere close to the launch of the PS4 in November 2013? The Vita launched December 12. 2011 in Japan and January 22. 2012 in NA and EU and all 3 of the closed studios developed games for the Vita launch window. By the third week of release in Japan it was clear that the Vita had bombed and Sony began clearing house of studios that worked on the system. You make the excuse that "they c...
