Generally they handle things like putting the disk in boxes and getting them into retail stores and often things like advertising and can often be the contact for things like legal disputes and other things. It really depends on the contract involved.
I doubt in this case it's as overarching as it is when a company is owned, like EA and Bioware.
I'd guess in this care it's mostly about advertising and getting boxes in stores.
Not great numbers, and again we see a Japanese game that didn't even reach 20% of sales on xbox even though the game had a strong history with the platform.
This is really my biggest fear when it comes to xbox is the total lack of support for Japanese games. The 360 ushered in the worst generation for Japanese games and nearly killed off the Japanese gaming industry. Lucky PS4 was the successful system this gen and unsurprisingly with it came a huge revival of Japanese...
That's not what I am talking about when I say 3x the consoles. I am talking about monthly sales. Nearly every month for several years PS4 has outsold xbox 3:1 globally.
No... Microsoft isn't going out of business because the xbox is doing poorly. But the reality is they are getting out sold basically 3:1 by PS4 and Switch will have over taken xbox after around 2 years when xbox will have been on the market for 6 years. And both PS4 and Switch are selling far more software than xbox.
I'll stop saying Microsoft is doing poorly when they are doing well enough to actually talk about sales numbers again.
What are you talking about? You talk about mouse and keyboard as if it's some fancy new hardware, it's literally the most basic and well understood set of inputs. Mouse and keyboards existed before controllers.
The difference here isn't that xbox has an API and PS4 doesn't. PS4 has always supported m/k in fact Sony has had m/k support since PS2. It's Microsoft who is new to the party here. They flat out didn't have support, now they do.
Let's clear something up, PS4 is having a decline over it's best selling year, but 2018 is still on track to be it's second best year. PS4 is still tracking way ahead of 2016 which was previous to 2017 the best selling year.
And the thing to remember is PS4 even while on a decline is still selling 3x as many consoles as it's main competitor Microsoft. Sony is certainly not in a hurry to move beyond PS4 because of any sales decline, if anything sales would ...
It's really not even close, the only benefit game pass has is day one Microsoft games.
PSNow has over 200 PS4 games for download which is more than the total number of games game pass offers and many of game passes games are from 360. And on top of the PS4 games there are around 20 downloadable PS2 games.
But what really seals the deal is the fact that PSNow also offers 760 games total available through it's streaming service which can be played o...
You don't understand what "market leader" is. PS4 has 60% of the market share, more than Nintendo and Microsoft combined. PS4 sold the most consoles world wide in 2017 and so far in 2018 as well, but even if Switch outsold PS4, PS4 would remain market leader until such time as Switch over took PS4's total sales which will not happen before the end of this generation regardless of how long this gen lasts.
No one is hating on Switch especially not me, it...
