How many people are already done with Sea of Thieves? That games population has already tanked. Multi-player doesn't mean a game will stay or be popular like people want to pretend it does.
Yes exactly, because they chose to offer a complete game. If they had wanted to they could have made half a game then shoe horned any type of MT into the game. But instead they decided not too. If there is any expansion of God of War it'll be a large expansion like Lost Legacy or Frozen Wilds.
The games Sony makes are huge investments. God of War I guarantee was a bigger investment than the half a game that Sea of Thieves was. God of War was a way bigger risk than making half a game then selling the other half as MT's.
MS can get away with it because they want to load their games with MT's and Sony is avoiding that crap. It has nothing to do with single player vs multi-player.
Sony could sell skins and map packs and all that other crap for God of War but they chose not too.
Game Pass is being misunderstood. Game Pass purpose was to publish games that make their money off MT's and Loot Boxes. It's a paywall for selling Free to Play styled games.
I don't want Game Pass on PS, I want them to keep doing exactly what they are doing. Which is creating awesome games and selling them in a way I can buy and own... not some rental service.
I'd be more excited if it wasn't for the fact they are pushing paid mods so hard. They allow free mods still on PC but every update they do breaks them so much that the modding communities have basically given up.
I don't care how good the next Elder Scrolls and Fallout are I am done with the series if it's just going to be about paid mods.
That first article which claims more than 45% is extremely unlikely to be accurate and isn't backed up by any of the other data you provided including the rest of the information in that article.
And the rest of the articles say basically what I am saying. None of them make any claim of 50-60 percent like what you said.
Haha well judging by the fact some guys shorts is enough to convince a certain set of people around here a new game is in the works I'm sure this article will be undeniable proof for some people.
FPS is king as far as I'm concerned. I'll choose FPS over resolution any day of the week.
60 FPS is the primary thing I want out of the next generation. IMHO by far the best thing about PC gaming is 100+ FPS. Gaming at 144 fps is so smooth, clear and responsive.
God of War is performing as expected, but personally I am more surprised and happy to see that Yakuza 6 charted at Number 3 with the best launch for a Yakuza game.
It's great to see the series growth and get the success it deserves. I thought the game would get lost in the tide of God of War.
Phil, when he said they were just starting them last year. That was of course after he spent months going on about how they were going to let the third parties handle the games.
But what ever I'm sure they will have an unannounced Forza or Gears or Halo that no one saw coming from like 10,000,000 miles away.
