"Any time a new game releases, whether it’s first or third-party, “the fact that Xbox is where the best engagement is driven benefits”
This is just a lie.. is he trying to say Monster Hunter World which was third-party yet sold nearly 90% of it's units on PS4 had higher engagement on xbox...
Or how about Far Cry 5 which has sold more than 2x as many units on PS4 as xbox.
Typical Microsoft though just laying and misleading to do...
The thing is Microsoft's financial reports are totally manipulated and misleading. They are notorious for shifting losses due to R&D and hardware ect. into other groups in order to be able to present positive reports to investors. And this isn't something they have done just with Xbox it's happened with all their products over the years.
I challenge anyone to look through the last 3 years worth of financial reports and find the costs incurred from the cre...
Mario Kart, Mario Odyssey, Zelda and Splatoon have been in the top 10 nearly every single week. And Xenoblade has been doing really well too on top of indies that aren't tracked but are selling really well. Is that not good enough for you or are you just mad because it's doing better than xbox?
I'm sure Phil and the xbox will pursue GaaS, MT's and loot boxes as much as they can get away with. Bu,t I can't see Sony changing what has worked so well for them which is making high quality games that don't need Mt's or loot boxes to be profitable.
But as for the article. I don't realty want to see consoles become as open as Steam. For PC it's ok because it has historically been an open system. On consoles however the high level of curation e...
You can port beg till your blue in the face it won't matter because xbox owners wouldn't buy them anyways.
If a game like Monster Hunter World with high levels of western appeal can only sell 10% of it's copies on xbox why would anyone think bringing games like Persona, Yakuza and Ni No Kuni would be worth the investment for the publishers. And the rest of the games are Sony licensed games so I'm not even sure why you would list those.
I was inclined to take you seriously until you started talking about "vapor chamber" as if that's some sort of serious or expensive part. When you say that I know you don't really know a lot about PC hardware. PC's have been using vapor cooling for years and it's not a big deal or expensive ($5-10). And on top of that when you reduce circuit size you reduce voltages and thus heat generation.
Well we know that's what you hope, but the reality is using actual next generation tech (7nm Zen2 and Navi) it should be very easy to surpass consoles made from current gen and even much older tech such as Jaguar. There is no doubt in my mind that that combination will be able to provide 4k and 60fps with higher image quality than what the x offers.
And the cost for Zen has already dropped significantly you can get a Zen with integra...
Well, I question the validity of the amount of growth that Microsoft's has had I think vgcharts is over tracking. I do however agree that there has been growth and it's fair to attribute that to x.
But the reality is it doesn't really matter when Sony has 60 and growing percent of the total market share and continues to sell nearly 3x as many consoles. And while Switch hasn't topped xbox in market share it will someti...
TSMC makes chips for all sorts of companies not just AMD and they manufacture many different types of chips simultaneously. And if 7nm production has already started it has a year and a half before November 2019 and they would only have to produce the chips for the initial launch month or two rush then things would settle into a more structured pace. Even if the launch was 2019 actual chip production likely wouldn't start until around July 2019.
My edit was literally seconds after I typed it for grammatical purposes and N4G has a 15 minute limit so I'm not even sure what you think I would have changed or how an edit would have changed what I said. It's not like I changed it after you replied.
And again, you said "This is yoy, not consoles sold,, its $$ not who sold more, its revenue"
If you read the article and look at the charts you'll see that the information is Year Over...
To be fair they offered brand new indie games on launch and people complained so they switched to older AAA games. So... no matter what they do people are going to complain it seems.
