I can't tell you how many time I've seen someone using their ipod for music and playing their DS for a real game experience at the same time. THe market is still there for a dedicated handheld
Well Uncharted 2 was a good bit longer than Uncharted 1. I really hope they make a good leap in length this time too if history is to repeat.
I agree, R2 disappointed, and the online just wasn't fun for me. R3 looks to change quite a bit of that and is going back to the R1 roots.
Agreed. I personally couldn't really get into Resistance 2. But 3, with its cross country horror feel, and the desolation from the Chimera nearing victory has sparked my interest again.
I agree 100% about the Vita showing that. In addition they're doing online features for the Vita very well. Just imagine what online they'll bring to the table with the PS4. All of my friends with only Xbox say they don't want a PS3 because of the lack of online features (though they've improved quite significantly) so that is crucial to get right next time. That in addition to your points leaves me to believe that the PS4 is going to be awesome!

And the 3DS when launched at $250 it was wayyyy higher than the Wii at $150

The success of the Vita relies on developer support because if there are enough good games for the device, people will buy it. For developers to make good games there has to be a big enough market to warrant the development of a new title or port. So if you want the Vita to succeed, buy one. Simple enough
The key to beating the 3DS is really all about capturing some of the huge casual market that plays games on their phones and ipods. If Sony could get some of the more popular ones such as Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds and Flight Control, as well as making most future apps being developed for the PSVita as well, I think the Vita will do stellar
This article says that people who pass up on a 3DS are not going to go for the Vita. I beg to differ as I've seen countless people on here planning to do exactly that, and i plan on doing the same.
I have a 3D tv at home and have very few problem, if any, watching a 3D movie or playing a 3D game. But the 3DS gave me an awful headache after only 1 minute of playing it. 3D may take off but I don't see that helping the 3DS too much.
And we don't want another repeat of launch do we! I think if they can manage $200 all my XBox friends will finally jump on board.

Sony have even said that they pushed back the launch to allow for a better launch line up. Since they didn't push back Japan as far this can inly mean one thing. Uncarted Golden Abyss. In America Sony knows that they NEED that game at launch but its not nearly as important in Japan where they will sell tons of the new handheld nom no matter what games are available yet. Having LBP Touch on the system at launch would also be a big incentive personally.
1) Cross Platfrom Gaming is not gonna happen. Microsoft knows that alot of people get the 360 simply because its what their friends have and they can play with them. They wont want to lose that advantage.
2) You guys may not like motion control because of all the casual stuff out there but think about it. The Playstation Move but the camera has three cameras (two normal one infrared) like the Kinect. That would further increase the accuracy of the Move while allowing Kinect-like gamel...
I don't understand. If someone walks into a store thinking of buying a PS3 but they see that the Vita is priced the same and decide to buy the Vita instead, doesn't Sony STILL get a sale of one of their consoles?
