If we are talking about sales it will hard to beat the 3DS because all those moms (nothing against moms) out there are going to go to Nintendo for their little 3-7 year olds. Even if Sony brings out a ton of great casual games for that age group it will be hard to change the consumer perception that Nintendo is the best at catering to that category.
I think as sony fan they got cocky with the success of the PS2 and thought they could do no wrong. But by looking at how they are doing with the Vita I think they are back on track. They understand good pricing, good launch lineup, developer friendly software and support for even indie developers. PS4 should be great.
Think about it, we are going to be storing whole games on these cards so possibly Sony went proprietary to ensure that we get the same speed as if the game were on an actually game card. Some SD cards are very slow and would create a slow game experience for the games stored on them. A quick gaming experience may be another reason along with piracy and money
I personally am very curious as to what Media Molecule are working on. A crazy new IP as well so they said!!!
How can they stomach giving Ratchet and Clank a 4, and then give an unthoughtful movie game like Transformer: Dark of the Moon a 5.5. While i love the 10/10 for Uncharted, I would never trust their reviews
DAY 1!!!
I think the London Underground Subway ads are brilliant because millions of people will see them everyday and they probably aren't very expensive to have posted. While i love Kevin Butler ads, they don't really garnish interest in the game like they should. They're great for montages of games or PS3 hardware ads but compared to a TV SPOT like the one we just got for Uncharted 3, they don't draw the WOW factor they need to sell games.
Its great to see Sony marketing this game as aggressively as they are as they usually don't advertise hardly at all. Of course sales doesn't mean anything if the game is great, but if the game is great then it deserves every single sale advertising promotes. More sales= more money for an even more fantastic game from Naughty Dog in the future!!!
We all saw how many awards Uncharted 2 got. Then Naughty Dog goes and improves on every aspect of the game and throws in an incredibly fun multiplayer (which I participated in thank you). You'd be hard pressed to come up with a reason why Uncharted 3 WOULDN'T get an absolute ton of awards.
And its a launch title remember that. Uncharted 1 looked great for an early title but just look at Uncharted 3 compared to it!!! In a couple of years the Vita games will be looking even that much better! because developers will refine and improve.
It doesn't matter what console you decide to get Battlefield 3 for, because at the end of the day it will still look better than MW3 ;)
If you just straight convert the Vita's 24,980 yen price to dollar it equals $325. Given how a straight conversion makes the USD price appear much higher then it will actually be, I don't think its gonna be a big deal.
I don't think the 3D on the 3DS is impressive at all but the 3D on consoles is in a whole different ballpark. I played the Uncharted 3 Beta in 3D and played through Killzone 3 in 3D on a 46" Samsung and I must say for me at least, it's not only visually impressive, but it does enhance the immersion and gameplay a good deal
I respect the company's right to make and publish whatever they want, and the fact that they're making content about slavery isn't the problem for me. I personally just don't approve of how they are glorifying the slavery and making the brutal treatment into a source of entertainment.
I think we all agree of the return of the cell. They they should update the one they have and then put like 6 of them in there. So what used to get just a core can have and entire cell. Imagine the awesome if what is running every bit of Uncharted 3, was dedicated to just running the lighting! *Gamer-gasm*
I say sometime in 2013, most likely summer or fall so about 22 months. 2012 is the year for them to get the Vita going strong and then follow it up the next year with the PS4. That would put almost 7 years between the launch of the PS3 and PS4 allowing them to stick the PS3's 10 year life, and the Wii U would've been out for about a year allowing them to assess the competition and see what they're up against. I think we will see an E3 announcement in 2012 because they like to show...
If military games were even close to the real thing, people wouldn't want to play them, because war is horrible.
I swear if those noobs are camping...
You should have known posting something like that on N4G will get you attacked and marked down
The previous Playstation Eyes for the PS2 and Ps3 could do body tracking, granted they were just looking for general movement. I would say that the PS4 Playstation Eye will be able to do body tracking movement because it can track in 3D so it can actually distinguish a body now. Surely, its abilities won;t be on par with the Kinect because it does not have an infra red sensor.
