In your opinion Infamous looks lame. But in my opinion Ryse looks lame. Please compare gameplay videos of these two games and tell me which one has better combat and gameplay. It's certainly not going to be Ryse. But if you want to spend your money on that then by all means. On another note, The developer did not say the game will be more diverse on One they said it will be more diverse on next gen consoles.
Exact same with my friends! And the few that have PS3's play all sorts of varied titles from God of War to LittleBIgPlanet. I've been trying to get them to give those games a try since forever!

And then again when it comes to the PS4?
I think launching a week early would be even better, that way the systems are already on the shelves. If they launch on the same time they will all be eaten up by the preoreders. However, if everybody comes in for the launch of AC4 and BF4 and they see the PS4's on the shelves, they may go ahead and take the plunge into the next generation while they are there, since both games have been highly advertised for next gen.

I really hope that developers support the Move and Camera this time around. Sony doesn't need to include the camera and move in every box if they offer compelling software to warrant its purchase. If games like assassin's creed and COD offered unique and fun move gameplay they would sell units and get the item into some homes. The Order wasn't game footage but it was at least in engine so they are technically capable of producing a game with that level of graphical fidelity. I appreciate that all the game trailers we are seeing nowadays are in engine instead of the CGI stuff back from 2005
I have never understood the excitement behind this game. Although I do enjoy the historical timeframe and the basic premise, the combat just seems so bland and repetitive for me. I couldn't imagine going through the entire game playing the way they did in the demos.
I think the Order still has excellent potential even if it is linear. As long as it uses a similar strategy as naught dog has with uncharted and the last of us, and uses a compelling story to warrant the linear progression.
Wow you really hit the nail on the head here. If they drop the Vita price to $200 and announce Gran Turismo and GTA for the system it's gonna start flying off the shelvers.
Announce new exclusives, bundle it with the PS4 for $500, show off remote play, drop the price to $200 and hey, if they could do a bundle with Killzone Mercenaries for $200 that would be very enticing.
I really want to see what Media Molecule has been up to . We won't be seeing The Last Guardian at Gamescon but I wouldn't count it out for TGS, as it would have a much bigger effect there.
Like you said, Microsoft relies heavily on online for their revenue. That's why they strive to be the best place to play COD online with the timed exclusive DLC for every single map pack. Micorsoft fans get addicted to the CODs Halos and Gears of Wars and thats all they buy or play, so for Microsoft to make money they have to make sure everyone is paying for online and the DLC packs. Microsoft keeps going back on prior announcements to improve on their system, which i am glad they are doing. What im really hoping is that sony feels a bit more pressure and decides to include the playstation eye in the box.
The Vita will almost certainly get a $50 price drop at Gamescon putting retail at 200 and the PS4 at 400. Sony has said that is it selling neither of these consoles at a loss however meaning that they likely cost 25-50 dollars less to produce. That puts the actual price of the devices at 350-375 and 150-175. To produce this bundle then would be 500-550. SO yes, SOny would be taking a hit, but not as large as some might think, and certainly not so great a hit that it wouldnt make producing it ...

I personally will be choosing the PS4 because for me its all about the games. I have 30 PS3 games and 18 of them are exclusive to PLayStation. Thats 60% and 18 exclusives! Its not that the Xbox One is bad, its that Sony has delivered great games last generation and i trust them to do the same with the PS4. I'm curious for other Xbox 360 and PS3 users to give a ratio of exclusive to total number of game ratios for comparison to mine!
I agree that the initial line up of the Xbox One is very impressive but I couldn't justify purchasing one system over the other based on the launch lineup. Say the PS4 costs around 375 normally, as Sony is saying they are not selling it as a loss. And the Vita, they are almost certainly going to drop the price to 200 or 175 and I would bet it only costs them 150 to make them, having been out for over a year. So it only costs sony say 525-550 to make this bundle, so if they could take a 25-50 dollar loss with the HUGE benefit of them having places two new consoles in your hands to buy games for.
