This is going to have to hold my creativity over until MM finally releases their new IP from the PS4 unveiling.
How long is that second project going to take? The LBP 2 team split into two teams, one developing Tearaway and the other developing the game they showed off at the PS4 unveiling. Its been 3 1/2 years now they have to at least have something to show off.
Is anyone else still waiting for the MM exclusive that they showed off at the PS4 unveiling in 2014? I was really hoping we would finally get another look and am beyond disappointed. Still looking forward to playing Tearaway though.
I may need new pants
Exactly. Sony has said themselves that this LCD screen has the newest LCD technology available. The new screen is likely not a downgrade at all.
Come on OlgerO, you have to get at least one retail title. You can do it, I know you can!
Give it a couple of years. Heck, wait until December when Naughty Dog unveils their PS4 project at the VGA's. That will be a sight to behold.
The thing is, when I read this article I am overcome with joy in imaging the games that could be made in these time periods, but I'm not excited with the idea of them being Assassin's Creed games. The franchise has just gone a bit too stale for me.
Also, external drives are supported. Games can't be installed there because of potential bandwidth issues though. But still, all of your music and movies can go on the external, leaving 500gb just for games. That should be more than enough for a good while.
To those who say you can just install to the unlimited cloud, Why would anyone install a game in the cloud, even if they could?? While they are playing, the quality of the game will be completely based on how well your internet is working, and if your neighbors hog the bandwidth like mine do that would be a problem. Plus if the internet goes out, you're done.
People saying that dedicated servers is nex gen... no. Thats current gen. Nothing about your experience will change except for a reduction in lag. Next gen is advanced AI, big open worlds, persistent online worlds like destiny and the division, taking an hour to drive across the game world like in the crew. The online is the future, and the additional power of the new systems will allow us to interact in new ways.
I just thought of something. My cable box only have one HDMI out cord, so for me to use the features on the xbox one, i have to run the only cable through that. Meaning now, if i just want to watch tv, I am required to turn on the xbox. That seems like an inconvenience to a feature thats supposed to make watching tv easier?
I look forward to trying it myself. That in combination with say, Kinect or Move could be a very powerful combination next generation. You turn your head and they turn in the game, you can see you hands when you look down but they are instead the arm of your character. You can aim down a sight and pull a trigger. The immersion with the technology we currently have could be incredible.
I can't be the only one that was disappointed with that UP recreation can I?
The Oculus Rift may not be viable in itself but I think the idea of virtual reality and the glasses and headsets that will subsequently result, do have potential. In the future, I've always predicted that VR will be able to transport us, via our nervous system, into other worlds that we truly believe we are in. Theres endless potential for gaming, military training, education, vacations and the like. These headsets are a necessary step in achieving that vision.
More likely at TGS. Still though, don;t get your hope us
@jcaashby Some psychologists and neuroscientists have claimed that after 10,000 hours of doing something, one will have become a master at that task.
But it they are willing to sell it for so little it may be a sign that they are getting them for that cheap. That means that there is financial room for a greater price drop.
I'm getting very impatient
I was really hoping for Media Molecule's new IP. Here's my guess though. 1) what they are working on is highly ambitious and will probably take some time to perfect. 2) with the creation and 3D world thing they are going for, I see it being a perfect fit for the Morpheus, so they may show it next year when they give the Morpheus a release date and price. A creative 3D game from MM would be an excellent way to convince people that they have to invest in VR
