They're better in what way? Guerilla has made 2 good games their entire existence. Killzone 2 and KZ Mercenaries. That's it and those games aren't necessarily brilliant games to begin with. Crysis 1 was completely revolutionary and Crysis 2 and 3 are decent games. Look at Ryse score for what? I just said the game is not good.
I never said it was good. I said what they accomplished with a game that was supposed to be kinect only was impressive. The game itself was not good. I also never compared the two. I clearly said no one can say KZ is superior to Crysis.
If Crytek is crap then Guerilla games is crap then. Because no one can tell me KZ is better or superior to Crysis, so some of you people ejaculating over the thought of a Guerilla IP are hypocrites. On a side note, Ryse is not good, but what Crytek accomplished with essentially game that was made over kinect game and ported to next gen in 2 and half years was pretty damn solid. The facial animation is some of the best I've ever seen.
Microsoft isn't going to just straight out give away free games like that. There's a huge difference between PS+ on PS3 and GWG on 360. Microsoft is literally giving these games away to gold subscribers. PS+ is a great service but it's a rental service like gamefly. Once you either stop paying for PS+ it's gone. Two entirely different business plans and two entirely different ways of obtaining content and delivering it.
It's 2 years old and who cares, dude? Some people might not be that into paying for a a game like this and maybe this is the only way they'd actually play the game. I don't get way people complain about free stuff.
I'd love for the day where they would just put every demo from show floor onto a PS4 and XB1. I think that shit would be amazing. I'd even pay 10 to 20 bucks just to play dozens on top of dozens of highly anticipated games and brand new game demos. I think that's the future. Or if you don't want to piss off people who pay to attend these expos, then release the demos a week later.
Off topic, but man Spec Lines the Ops was such a good emotional story. Especially for a shooter. That ending ranks up there with any game I played last gen. It's a shame Yager hasn't announced a new IP since that game.
I don't get the hate these games get. But then again I'm much more of action TPS fan than a die hard survival horror fan. I liked the last few Resident Evil games a lot.
Yeah for some reason I find these numbers a bit high. I'll wait until Ubisoft's quarter earnings call to get the official numbers.
Wow you got 5 disagrees for being excited about this? Come on people it's time to stop acting so childish or if you disagree with the statement express in words why you do. Cause disagreeing with someone praising something is idiotic.
I know this was probably be too much, but I wish Sony and Microsoft made the demos that playable at E3 available to people that own XB1's or PS4's. I know that would be a dick thing to do to people that went there, but I'd like to seem some sort of way people at home can play those demos.
How would this guy get to see a build of Uncharted? Devs don't just take guys off of the street and show them alpha gameplay. Either this guy works for Sony, he's an artist at ND, or he's making this up. The only insider I trust is Shinobi and that's because he doesn't claim to know everything and actually gives specific details to the stuff he gives out.
It's not bad and it's not great. I played it on my PC and it was a simple enjoyable game that passes time. It's free so idk why someone would complain about it. At worst it's an average game with solid top down gameplay and a shaky story
Giving away free games isn't some novel idea. Steam was doing it way before anyone. Besides the entire reason PSN exists and PS+ even has free games is because XBL's popularity and to undercut XBL's service seller features.
Too bad I don't have my 360 anymore or else I'd play Dark Souls. But I will definitely try out Max and Halo Spartan assault on my buddies XB1.
A lot of those OG Xbox games are so underrated man. The first Xbox in general was so underrated for what it brought to gaming in general. It's sad that a lot of those franchises are either dead or the dev teams are so dormant.
Afraid of what? They just don't want to put out a 3 gig download for a 2 minute trailer.
It makes sense in the long run. Microsoft paid for the entire production of Dead rising 3 and Capcom kept the IP and still published it and it did 1.2 million units.
Rare was just hiring a couple of months back, so it's plausible they canned a lot of their Kinect teams and are moving towards new IP.
I think if they had a longer dev time and actually built it from the ground up Ryse could've been decent. The gameplay left a lot to be desired though. The story was surprisingly solid for a crytek game and the graphics were out of this world. Easily one of the top 3 best graphics of this gen so far.
