The Halo comics are very very well written. Outside of Mass Effect, I can't think of a video game with this kind of lore to pick from.
I don't think Sony is ever going to cancel this iP. It will be released whether it's good or not. I'm suspecting they've poured at least a hundred million dollars in this IP. I heard years ago that the Last Guardian was played by 3 journalists behind the scenes at TGS and the gameplay and mechanics were so bad Sony told them to not write pieces on it and canned Ueda, halted production, and then rehired him and re-upped production. Who knows at this point. They're obviously...
It's a great system that's constantly getting outstanding updates that make it even better. The people that hate on it would on it for any reason they see fit. Some times you just have to play what you play and just stop listening to trolls and idiots online.
The score is probably pretty much done for Halo 5.
Such a shame. Marty is a fucking legend for those Halo scores.
If this was in game footage then my god this game looks unreal.
I remember playing gears 1 and being completely blown away by it. I literally never played a game of its kind. There's only 4 games I played last gen that left me in awe Gears 1, Mass Effect, RDR, and Uncharted. Those games both gameplay wise and innovation wise completely blew me away when I first loaded them.
I don't get this claim that Polygon is this big Microsoft laced site, especially since it's ironic that 95 percent of the websites linked to this site have obvious bias intentions. If you actually read the site, keep up with the reviews, and actually follow the editors you'll see that each systems games are fairly reviewed. They've given more Playstation and Nintendo games higher ratings or equal ratings to Microsoft games. This accusation unfound and is based off of a review ...
Meh, idk about that. Those guys are so good at what they do because they're die hard car fans. I think a hardcore bike sim would be cool, but they would be out of their element.
How is it diluting it when all of those games have zero in common with each other? Forza Horizon has zero in common besides cars with Forza Motor Sports. PGR is dead. The people that made it excellent are in 343 and playground now. I see no harm in having Forza Xbox's racing mascot. They can just have the IP cover straight up Sim racing, arcade racing, and rally racing.
Most of the team that made PGR what it is today is spread out over three Microsoft dev teams. Kiki Wolfkill now is a big time higher up at 343 and she's not leaving Halo to work on PGR. And the rest of those guys are working on Forza Horizon games.
If they spin the franchises to different devs, I don't see how they are milking anything. Forza Horizon is drastically different than the Forza Sim games.
You buy something for 4 bucks off of Ebay. Citing them is not a very good source.
Speaking of this picture those Surface Pro tablets are bad ass. I've seen people play battlefield, WOW, Diablo, and Titanfall on those things. I would get one, but I don't have 1500 bucks for a good one.
Sony is not going to keep selling PS4 consoles like they have been in the last 5 months. The demand is already dying down and you can find PS4's pretty everywhere since about april. Nintendo will show their next gen device in about another 4 years and MS and Sony will show theres in the same time. Sony will more than likely move the same amount of PS4's as they did with PS3's and MS will move about 10 million less than that.
Consoles don't make their divisions much of any money. They're expensive and kind of an broken business model. I think by this time next year console sales will be down and software will start selling back to normal. This gen graphically is not a big leap like the the 360 and PS3 gens. When you first saw something like Fight Night your jaw was on the floor from those graphics. I think the new cycle goes every 5 to 6 years from now on. The specs in these boxes are too small.
I think, at least for this gen, Sony's E3's are going to be 50 percent exclusives 20 percent services and 30 percent indies and third party games. I don't think we're going to get an exclusive heavy E3 from this company anymore. I think they'll still have a shit ton of exclusives, but I think they will show them at gamescon and E3, rather than one conference.
I don't think there's anyway possible that there won't be at least a 10 to 15 minute demo of Morpheus with devs showing off early stuff on it. I think they will then show off the full working retail prototype at CES. E3 is huge for this industry and there will be media from all of the world covering. They would be stupid not to show off both services and get media on them pronto.
Why, exactly? I can understand being disappointing in not seeing MM's new iP. But Guerilla Games is an extremely mediocre dev. I have no clue where their hype comes from.
So was the PS2. I have zero clue why this is an argument this gen.
