I don't see the resemblance at all. When your as big as Rockstar, who's literally the biggest gaming publisher and dev in the business, then you're always going to have stuff like this. I am shocked they never got sued by the producers of Scarface for blatantly ripping off a lot of the storyline for GTA vice city.
Team Ico and Sony have stated the game has been in development since 2007. That's 7 years and we're half way through this year. Do the math.

I'd say Halo 2 revolutionized MP shooters more than Halo 3. COD definitely sent it to the next level on 360.
Defined as in what? I think if you're asking what games defined innovation then that to me is Gears of War- completely created the cover third person shooter genre. Uncharted- Completely invented the cinematic third person shooter. Bioshock- Completely redefined what story based games could do. Mass Effect- innovated the scifi TPS RPG story. And like the games or not Quantic Dream has to be on there cause they pioneered the QTE story based games. I don't like it but they did do it.

I expect about a 20 minute breakdown of PS4 sales and Vita sales and then another 10 to 15 minutes of PS Now and an announcement of games being made for Morpheus with maybe some demos being shown and full reveal announced for CES 2015. Then I expect the next 60 or so minutes to be a mixture of indies/ third party games/ and exclusives. Equal parts of each.
I think they'll have a great conference. I was told by someone the rumor going around is that GOW is going for a late 2015 release date. If they come out with The Order, Uncharted 4, and GOW next year that's probably the biggest first party release schedule ever created.
