More insider talk eh? Sites still haven't learned from thuway and the other idiot that spread that rumor about the drive club director huh? I guess these small sites don't understand journalistic integrity.

Cue flamewar battle.

I, nor do anyone else for that matter, share this philosophy when buying high price tech. I will never buy a 300 dollar console just to play niche titles and indies with an hint of great exclusives like Mario Kart. I just can't see myself spending 300 bucks on something like that. I admire your mindset, but that's hard for me to wrap my head around.

It's too late. The fact of the matter is devs in about 2 years are going to completely abandon the last gen market. They're going to milk until the attach rates for both gens become about even. Once they go to Next gen only and PC they're not going to want to port to hardware that's harder to port to and port to lesser specs. The most Wiiu's I see Nintendo selling in this gen is about 25 to 30 million Wiiu's all gen. I don't see them surpassing that. I've playe...

By next E3 we'll know who the next Watchdogs main character will be. I see these games eventually being annualized like Assassins Creed

4273d ago 3 agree2 disagreeView comment

Meh, I've only the first one, but the characters and interactions with those characters that they showed at E3 looked pretty cool. I've always said these games are unique because they're built for a unique crowd and has the charm of a indie game but the budget of a AAA game.Either I'll expect it to be like the first 2.

So if I post videos of my Mustang after I purchase it should I give ford my ad revenue? Your analogy is flawed. They bought their rights for the game outright. Period. Song sampling without compensation and lets plays on video games are no where near the same thing. I buy the game, there's no laws against me showing the game to others through media, and I get compensated because my said game gets views.

If Phil wants to be compensated then he should make a youtube channe...

Wait, what?

It's a fighting sim. Of course it's going to get complex. This isn't streetfighter. They're trying to ape a real mma fight.

Someone posted on here that you can get a Wiiu for like 250 bucks. I might jump on that if that's true. Games are games to me. If I can own all systems at a reasonable price I'm going to do it. I have zero brand alliance.

If they can provide level destruction on crackdown like that build demo with the frame rate never dropping, then that's a major technological improvement. I'll wait until I see from REAL engineers, with REAL demos before I assume anything.

It takes expert coding to be able to pull off what these guys are doing. I'm not too excited yet because I know absolutely nothing about the gameplay or story, but these dudes should be commended for their talents. Something like this takes real genius and they pulled it off with a 6 man team.

Why would they sign an exclusivity deal when they're an indie? What do they get out of that?

4274d ago 6 agree8 disagreeView comment

Inside is a time exclusive. Ori and Blind Forest are only on Xbox One and PC.

4274d ago 6 agree2 disagreeView comment

Unless Sony is completely funding that game, they'd be retarded to make that an exclusive. If you're an indie with a game like that you're going to want the max amount of profits you can get. If they stay console exclusive, for the sake of their studio, they better get a sweet deal from Sony.

4274d ago 13 agree4 disagreeView comment

How does this compare to that? These YOUTUBERS PAID FOR THE GAME. They're not sampling the game, they actually paid for their copy of the game and uploading footage of it. Your comparison is idiotic.

4274d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Of course it's free promotion. I would've never bought a ps3 or played uncharted 1 unless I saw a lets play of uncharted on youtube. Right then and there I bought a ps3 and uncharted the following week. It's free promotion and it gets people buying your product when they wouldn't have.

Also, Phil, if I buy electronics and I do walkthroughs of how those electronics work, should I have to pay the OEM's also? Or does this only apply to games in your own warped minds? A lot of these dudes like Radbrad, Pewdiepie, Hasan, ect do this as a full time job and you want to take food off of their families table for what? Dude you're not hurting for money neither are the devs making 80 grand a year to animate trees and and grass.

4274d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why should youtubers who already paid for the game pay you for their lets plays that they have to edit, capture, and produce? What kind of logic is this? Phil Fez is a great game, but you're a delusional Piece of garbage. Get out of the industry pronto.

In what way did they quit on the 360? They still bought exclusive DLC for it and they still brought exclusives to it. They're simply putting Kintect as a peripheral like it should be. Sony refuses to put content on the device and it's only 2 years old. I don't see the connection you're trying to connect.
