To be fair to Sony, Sony can't price it freely. This is where the service is ultimately flawed. For Sony to get these games to be rented, publishers will want a certain percentage off of each game sold. Sony has to price this service so they can pay the publishers and still see revenue from it. It's a flawed service and if you wanna know how it works watch the Pach Attack episode on it. It's a very interesting, and informative insight on how that business model is done.

Sony can save it by doing 3 things. Stop promoting it as a remote play accessory device or if you're going to promote it as such then drop the price to 99 bucks or bundle it with PS4's like the gamepad is with the Wiiu.Have their big studios, ND, SSM,MM,SP,QD,GG, ect to expand their studios and make Vita AAA games. And lastly pay third party publishers to bring huge franchises to Vita. If EA doesn't want to bring a game like ME or Dragon Age to Vita, then fund it yourself. If 2k d...

Why? It's the truth. I have a Vita, and although I enjoy the occasional indie or port here and there, it doesn't live up to half of the promise Sony had for it. It's simply criticism. More people need to challenge Sony on their stance with this system and then maybe it will improve. The more people that just go along with the program, then that's less sales the system will have and the less games will be made for it.

I'm excited for this game. I recent;y played Uncharted 3 again and man it's such a well designed game. It literally feels like you're playing an action movie at all times. I just hope they keep the light hearted feel of the uncharted games and not the more dark serious feel of TLOU.

I've never played Baldur's Gate, but KOTOR is an amazing franchise. i just don't rate it as highly as Mass Effect.

There's few games that I was blown away by when I first bplayed them. Mass Effect 1 on 360 completely blew me away. That franchise is up there with the best of the best. The only games that match it's lore and characters in my opinion are Zelda and Halo. Bioware should be put in that elite class with ND, Bungie, Rockstar, ect. Underrated studio.

Great to see Lionhead do a new IP. It's going to be funny/interesting seeing Rare and Lionhead do non fable and non kinect stuff in the future.

Lol you think someone is going to buy a console or build a pc for no mans skye? Lol ok.

I don't see this game being a killer app at all. It won't move consoles. I think it has a good chance to be the next limbo or Journey, though.

I had a PS3 at launch and those multiplatform games were flat out broken. Period. It wasn't just a graphics or power problem. A ton of my PS3 multiplatform games were simply unplayable until around 09 when I bought my 360 and played on there. PS3 multiplatform games from about 2010 to now are leagues better because devs knew and know how to code for it.

Meh I have to see more gameplay of this and see if there's an actual story behind it before I get too hyped. If all this game is is exploring planets and having fire battles in space then that would be a waste. But if there's a legit 7 to 10 hour campaign in between the planet visits and there's legit threats that you have to overcome on those planets, then this game could be special. It's really a wait and see type of thing for me.

Why do they matter? Would you simply not play TLOU if it didn't have those levels of visuals? Did the graphics being that good help the game at all? Now flip it. If I took away any of these 3 that the game possessed, the great voice acting, the great story, the great gameplay would that have hampered the game?

4271d ago 5 agree7 disagreeView comment

Graphics don't matter. Look at a lot of those SNES games or Nintendo 64 games and they hold up today because of the art style, even when the graphics back then were crap. Graphics matter to a certain degree. It adds to a certain immersion, but I find, personally, that after the initial reveal of how good the graphics look, I solely focus on gameplay, art style, story, ect. It's a very overrated feature and has hampered western game development. Do graphics matter to some degree? Sure...

What point? You want to play games that are made for consoles, but don't want to pay for the console? If that's the case then why should Microsoft even make a console if they're giving away all these games to PC in your deluded world.

I highly doubt this even sniffs PC. If Halo 3 and Halo 4 never made it I doubt this one does.

The cinematic talk is bs. Devs, like RAD, are using 30FPS locked because they're pushing the system to the point where it can't handle 1080P and a framerate higher than 30FPS. Devs are just using the whole " 30fps makes things more cinematic" card to hide the flaws of the systems they're developing for.

4271d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

Framerate>Resolution.

4271d ago 7 agree3 disagreeView comment

30FPS is ok for super cinematic games like the Order or a Quantum Break or Tomb Raider because those games push the consoles specs to the point you can't have 1080P 60FPS. It's just impossible to maintain a good framerate having both. Now where it's a must to have 60FPS is with shooters and racing games because the frame rate matters.
