Wth are you talking about?
Ideally I would want the total package. Great graphics, great gameplay, great story, great voice acting, ect. In this industry that always doesn't happen. I prefer gameplay over anything. Period. If you have a game that's gorgeous and your gameplay is just average with stiff controls I can't play much more of it. That's one of the reasons why I can't stand david cage's games so much.
KZ's gameplay is so generic and stiff that it just takes me out of the game sometimes. There's no identity to the gameplay. Also the story is pretty bad to boot. KZ 2 is actually a pretty good game. The rest? Eh...
The only companies I'd be excited entering into the console market are google or apple. They're the only two companies that can get third party devs to make content out of the gate and they have the billions necessary to build first party teams.
Pretty good lineup for XB1. The 360 lineup is pretty meh. Can't really complain about free games, though.
The next GTA game will be in Miami. I don't think Rockstar wants to go through the trouble of building an entirely new city from scratch. I can see them expanding the Vice City landscape and allowing much more of south Florida to be open. I want 3 things to happen in the next GTA. One, I want destructible environments. If I shoot a an RPG at a store, the store should not be standing like nothing happened. Two, I want about 80 percent of the buildings to be open so the I can go and explore...
DS3, N64 controller, and the Duke are the worst controllers I can remember using. I'm way too young to comment on old school consoles and I haven't used a sega, PS1, or Snes console in YEARS. But the Duke controller, Dual Shock 3, and the N64 controllers were awful.
What sites in particular are you talking about that lack video game history knowledge or any of the other things you listed?
That was a typo, I'll fix it..
I'm going to get thumbs dwn for this but idc. This game, with its current mechanics, should be third person. After playing the first one the first person presentation didn't gel well for me. This would be a thousand times better in third person where the gameplay would be that much better and innovative.
After playing a little bit of the Alpha on my buddies PS4 I have 3 immediate impressions. One, the game plays like Halo meets Borderlands and that's an immediate day one buy for me. Two, the graphics is gorgeous and the gun mechanics feel a lot better than what I saw in some of the gameplay vids. And lastly, my god is Dualshock 4 an ENORMOUS improvement over DS3.
This controller puts it to shame and I can see myself using it this entire gen without having to purchase a t...
You can say that about any entertainment/ tech criticism that's on the internet and on print publications. Reviews are 70 percent personal opinion pieces and 30 percent objective legit technical faults the game has pieces. Reading reviews for games, in my opinion, is useless because games is an immersive artform.
I don't understand how video game critics are any lower than film critics or music critics. The way I determine if I will like any game is still by reading a...
Only game I'm iffy about is fable and I'll probably check out the beta anyway. Lots of good IP coming this fall.
MS is publishing the game. I highly doubt they bring it to PC unless it makes no m
Money like Alan wake did. I highly doubt this IP moves under 2.5 million units
I like these guys. A couple of dudes that worked hard and became billionaires the right way. The passion they have for VR is so authentic. Nothing is corporate talk, they truly want to see the tech prosper.
Mobile gaming is getting better and more powerful faster than I would've ever guessed 2 or 3 years ago. I don't think it'll kill consoles in the next 5 years, but if the tech keeps evolving the way it has been then we could be that much closer to Iphones playing legit AAA titles on mobile in the next decade. It won't happen any time soon, but mobile gaming is something to keep an eye on. It's cheap, has big players in it that have the capital to make it work, and it can at...
Good acquisition. 360's controller is easily in the top 3 of all time for me. This is why Facebook buying this company is good. They NEEDED the capital to make moves like this. Oculus now is growing faster than ever and making some great moves.
I've never had any problems with that controller. All of the buttons worked fine for me outside of the D-pad.
Oh. The gameplay on youtube looks pretty damn good. Idk I might try it out on XB1 when it comes out.
TBH I might get hate for this, but I've played the first 2 games and I don't see the cult following it has. I think they're decent to ok games. I don't see why Sega wouldn't get a Microsoft or Sony to do what MS did with DR3. Get them to fund the game's creation without owning the IP and then let them have it exclusively for a year and then bring it to PC to maximize profits. It's a no lose predicament.
