I agree. From the very slow start in the snowy mountains, to the lack of fast travel.. even the animation in town forcing you to walk. And I don’t want to manually travel back and forth the same routes over and over and over. Horse riding simulator. I quit after about 2 weeks, same with a couple of my friends, and I won’t be returning. A big disappointment
Any idea how long each stronghold mission takes to complete?
Do they have ranked base matchmaking yet? And how does it work? Is it certain weekends only? I vaguely remember them outlining that.. ranked multiplayer with tiers to shoot for makes everything better
Hmmm, this or Anthem or none or both? I would like to have challenging gameplay all the way through, not a campaign that you fly through with no effort.
#1 would be terrible fast travel, if you can even call it that. I want a game, not a horse riding simulator.
#2 would be the inventory systems. Could have been better / streamlined
#3 would be the slow animation in camp - get it in gear bud i have things to do
#4 would be the combat
Aside from graphics and story, i struggle with how this game got a 98 metacritic. Rockstar hype and political pressures of reviews. N...
Agreed the X is awesome. I hope they go over the top again with power for Xbox 2 and get every game to at least 60 FPS. The sales have shown there is a market for a premium product.
This site is ridiculous. Gamers have their primary system, and then own/borrow other systems on the side to play through exclusive backlogs. If you don’t play all systems then you are missing out on something, plain and simple. My primary system is the Xbox One X and it is fantastic. Best console I have owned. Graphics, UI, controller – all top quality. One of my most anticipated games is TLOU2, I can’t wait. But for multiplats and shooter exclusives, I couldn’t live without the X.
@Kornholic it was a timed console exclusive. You could play it on xbox one 1 year before PS4. Console exclusive means you can play it on 1 console and not the other console. Timed means for a set period of time.
Looks a lot like Destiny actually. Dumb Enemies that don’t move. Campaign will likely be a breeze. Will take hours of grinding before you even get to compete in the only challenging content, of which there will be too little of. Oh, and it doesn’t even have Destiny’s shooting =(
Why was the entire Destiny 2 campaign a cake-walk? There was zero challenge. Why has Bungie not added in better gameplay elements to keep things less repetitive? Diablo had randomized enemies 20 years ago. Would it kill Bungie to put in some variation to keep us engaged, rather than repeating the exact same strikes/raids with the exact same enemy placements and same difficulty? Surely this is not all on Activision. Most of my issues are 100% due to the repetitive gameplay, and lack of ch...
@Responses, yes that’s why I said “console timed exclusive” Lol. Because they haven’t had a real exclusive in awhile that’s moved me. And yes, PUBG 1 year ago was amazing, sort of old news now that it’s over to PS4, Blackout stole some of it’s thunder, game is almost 2 years old, etc..
As a console timed exclusive, PUBG. No game gets your heart racing like it. Sick of it now though, playing 500 hours will do that.
It's a bit of a loaded question since xbox exclusives are typically MP shooters, and PS exclusives are story driven.
A counter question could be, when was the last time a PS4 exclusive had an amazing multiplayer component?
U Serious? Rockstar games are going to sell, based on the pedigree of their previous games, no matter if it happens to be amazing or just okay, it’s gonna sell a ton. People pre-order or buy day 1 before any reviews.
GOTY awards? Again due to popularity, no reviewer wants to be the 1 outlier that gives RDR2 an 7/10, or they will get torn up by comments. Riding your horse from point to point 90% of the game, this CAN’T be one of the top 5 games in the past decade, come on...
@Protagonist – You just proved the point. You must be a graphics over gameplay gamer, because the Switch has had some of the best pure gameplay exclusives this gen. Easily more imaginative and fun that the horse riding simulator RDR2
A solid game, especially if you like graphics, and getting your value out of a very long campaign. However I couldn’t keep playing it as there is far too much travelling back and forth on your horse. They need a convenient fast travel, it gets boring doing the same routes if you just want to progress the story. Also the inventory is a mess, and the combat is pretty bland. Overall it’s not much different than the first game. I have no idea how this got a 97 metacritic. Seriously, this ride...
I agree with the article title.. after a decade of small map shooters it’s been a blast to play something fresh. The way each gun has its own learning curve, the mid-long range gun fights, slower tactical play, the vehicle handling.. it’s been sorely missed over the years. They really need to remake the whole thing from scratch to end the bugs, as there’s really nothing like a squad game of PUBG with buddies.
Not many because Blops IV isn’t world war 2, which was predominantly fought by males. I don’t know how you unveil your ww2 game with a female lead character with a bionic arm, lol. They really should have explained it better, saying it was an alternate reality or something. What a mess that could have been avoided..
@Liam ya it's Non Player Character. It's not Non Player Human
@spicelicka - even if you owned D2 it was 80 cdn for foresaken because they forced you to buy osiris and warmind. 55 was if you had D2 + osiris and warmind. I didn't buy forsaken for 80 and i haven't missed it
Everyone is trying it out on Day 1, of course it’s the most viewed
