My bad on Beyond...
Yet another site desperate for hits. Makes yet another exaggerated article about something an official of MS says.
No ship date = title does not exist...
No matter what console... If there is no ship date I don't believe the hype...
Halo, Sunset Overdrive, The Order, Beyond, Last Guardian, Kingdom Hearts 3, FFV, etc. No ship date so none of them really exist...
They are definitely running out of things to complain about...
Funny thing. Sony releases a console and back tracks features after people buy it... PS3 backwards compatibility, PS3 dual boot, etc. Then they promise exclusives that never ship like Last Guardian and FF XIII Versus. So consumers buy their stuff and get disillusioned later...
MS announced a bunch of stuff, and are backtracking it before anyone ever actually puts their money down... And gamers...
Funny thing about this...
Sony is known for its diversity of games, but yet, a shooter becomes its most important launch title...
Xbox is known as the "shooter box". Yet, it does not have a single exclusive shooter for launch in the holidays...
That said, I think Killzone is a great game, and it will probably be one of my first PS4 titles.
Agreed, with similar architectures, they may put more detail in PS4. But, unless you are looking for the differences I don't think it will really matter. The PS3 has better graphics then 360 already and it never really meant anything this past generation. I doubt it will this gen. Games will look great on both consoles.
The difference will be on how both console vendors use the GPU in their exclusives.
The only thing this will matter on is exclusives and lead platform for development...
The lead platform for multi-platform devts is usually the one that is hardest to accomplish the things you need to accomplish in making the game. The thought being, that if I can get it working on the hardest platform the other platforms will be a breeze.
On exclusives you may see a difference in graphical quality. But, with these video cards this is going to get harder an...
F2P is BS. There is almost no such thing...
F2P has three gamer models...
1) You put up with intrusive advertising in the game
2) You get nickel and dimed for everything you want to do in the game
3) If you want to avoid nickel and diming they make you grind for hours un-end.
Sure there is the odd truly F2P but try and get your dollar some other way.
I cannot believe how the media overhypes everything in the games industry. It is like they are a bunch of 15-25 year olds...
Wait, the media in the games industry probably is mostly 15-25 year olds...
Nevermind...
I disagree.
Right after the RRoD fiasco announcement, Peter Moore announced he was leaving MS... (Probably told to find another job rather than firing)...
Right after the poor unvieling of X1 and the DRM flip flop after E3 Don Mattrick announced he was leaving (Probably told to find another job rather than firing).
These guys both are well respected from the business side of gaming, MS showed them the door politely rather than trashing them ...
Gamers are being nitpicky.
Yes it happened to Sony in 2006...
MS nor Sony is worse than each other... There were many anti-consumer changes by Sony... Removing BC, re-releasing BC games as PS3 games, flip flop on dual boot, flip flop on paid online multiplayer for PS4, lack of security on PSN, etc...
MS and Sony are for-profit companies. For-profit Companies exist for only one purpose and that is to make money. Both companies will do wh...
Glad both are doing well. Strong sales of both is good for all gamers that choose either console.
In US law, exclusivity cannot last for ever. The courts time and time again have shot down exclusivity claims in favor of non-exclusive scenarios.
Why try and buy, what you can really not achieve?
Much awaited?
FF XIV on PC was total garbage? How does anyone think it will be turned into a AAA title in Realm Reborn?
All they are doing is trying to save face after one of the largest ever disasters eroded a great franchise to the ground.
Nothing really big announced in the unpacking. I laughed at how the author talks about the headset being a response to PS4...
Last time I checked, I thought all 360 consoles shipped with a headset? I certainly have a whack of them from X360's I've bought. Why is everyone making a big deal about it now? And saying it is to catch up with PS4...
I know there was articles about what was in the box and there was no headset mentioned, but those articles...
Live, Games, Play n Charge, PSN+, PS Camera are all optional. Should not be included in the cost for each console.
Especially since you do not include Move on the PS side to make it equal with Kinect.
By the way you have to buy move for each gamer. New Kinect sensor works for 1-6 gamers at a time. So, Move cost should be X 6.
When did MS say they were not including a headset? The articles came from retailers that cited no headsets... Not MS themselves.
Please show the link where a Microsoft representative said there would be no headset in X1...
I save just as much or more as a gold member buying sale content through live. MS has way more weekly sales then PSN+. And often at deeper discounts...
Sure you get Hitman Absolution free this month... Last month I picked it up for $10 on Live Gold... Oh, and by the way, I own it forever unlike PSN+ where you have to stay subscribed to keep your free content...
VGChartz is almost always wrong in number of software unit sales. They are a bunch of amateurs.
That said, I am sure PS4 is ahead.
