Sure, and Wii fanboys are just as bad as PS3 fanboys, right Clownbelt? All fanboys have to be the same right?
Get real. Nobody is buying it. The different fanboy groups don't all act the same and that is obvious.
I don't agree with your complaints, but even if I did, you do realize that all games have flaws? Uncharted 2 had flaws. Gears of War 2 had flaws. All highly rated games have flaws, but it is about the overall experience that they provide. In that sense Mass Effect 2 is nearly unrivaled in my opinion.
No it won't. Just wait for the actual technical comparisons.
It just goes to show you how big of an impression a console exclusive can have on people's sense of things. Final Fantasy VII and several others were also on the PC, but most people think of them as Playstation games and always associate them with the Playstation.
I think next generation people will also have that kind of association between the Mass Effect franchise and the Xbox 360 platform.
"Every Other FF Game Since VII!- That's right ever Final Fantasy game since the classic and beloved Final Fantasy VII has been exclusive to Sony's platform which proves Sony knows how to do FF games right?"
Interestingly enough, several of those were console exclusive and were also on the PC. But it is true that for consoles they were exclusive to the Playstation platforms and they had their biggest impact there.
I agree. Dragon Age was good, but not nearly as polished and entertaining as Mass Effect 2. I, too, am looking forward to the next Mass Effect far more than the next Dragon Age.
@ cold 2000
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Fall 2011 would be fine by me. But I'm not going to get my hopes up and be disappointed if it ends up being 2012.
@cgoodno
Maybe you're not a hater, but let's be honest, there are a ton of them out there that desperately want to believe the 360 will soon go away. The idea is ridiculous, but that is what they want to believe. I personally think the 360 has some of its best years ahead of it. That goes ...
@ Pennywise
Maybe English isn't his native language, you arrogant jerk.
Uh..*looks around*, I see a hell of a lot more PS3 fanboys on this site than 360 fanboys. If anybody isn't playing their games it is the PS3 fanboys.
What? It proves the exact opposite, you imbecile.
It proves that Square optimized the game separately for both consoles.
Pfft Versus isn't going to look any better. You know why? The ps3 isn't any more powerful than the 360.
Where was the comparison that compared the two finished versions of the game? I must have missed that.
I understand where you are coming from. I watch a lot of foreign movies from Japan, Spain, Mexico, China, etc and I really prefer to read the subtitles than to hear the crappy dubs and see the words not fitting the motions of the mouths.
But that is just for movies. It is a completely different situation with games, because characters' mouths in games never match the words they are speaking anyway. All language versions of a game are, in a sense, just dubbed by voice actors, t...
I_Am_Canadian_1989, you are 11 years younger than me, so I'll forgive your naivety, but you are way off base on a whole bunch of stuff you wrote.
First you said, "where talking exclusives" when it was clear people were talking about Final Fantasy XIII on the PS3 supposedly being affected by the 360. Then somebody made the point that Rage is being developed on both platforms and John Carmack said they are having to work twice as hard on the PS3 version to get it up to p...
And from my perspective Microsoft did right by their user base by allowing the game to be enjoyed on the 360. I have both consoles, but if I have a choice I always prefer to play on the 360 because of my controller preference, friends list, preference for achievements, and the 360's user interface and feature set.
Square is a third party developer. Just because several previous Final Fantasy games were console exclusives does not mean that Playstation platforms are guaranteed c...
You are so wrong. Take a look at any of the NPD reports. 360 games of all types have posted strong sales.
Killzone 2 has sold 2 million, or whatever it is, in 11 months. Mass Effect 2 sold 2 million in half a week and I can assure you that a majority of those were the 360 version. Big difference.
Anyway, Mass Effect 2 is an amazing game because it is an amazing game, but it is still nice to see that it is motivating so many people to buy it.
Look another ps3 fanboy that also happens to be a thief. I see that a lot.
Some of you ps3 fans are so silly. Do you think they know exactly how many copies are sitting in people's homes? No, they never do. We have to wait for NPD just to get a reasonable approximation. (even then it isn't 100% accurate)
What do you think would be the point of the NPD if companies had a way to magically know precisely how many units of their products were sitting in customers' homes? The only thing companies know is how many units they have sold to retailers.
True, Mass Effect 2 looks a lot better than this. So the idea that the 360 held the PS3 back is laughable.
