This is definitely just as big of a jump as we saw between Uncharted and Uncharted 2. I own Uncharted and Uncharted 2 and there was definitely a noticeable jump. However, like all things ps3 related the difference was somewhat exaggerated by the fanboys. (btw I will gladly give you my PSN ID and play you in Uncharted 2 if you doubt that I actually own the console or the games). From what I have seen of Mass Effect 2 the improvement seems just as big.

It is not a fact. It is something Sony claimed. Microsoft claimed the opposite. There have been some developers that say that the 360 is more powerful. There have been some that say the PS3 is more powerful. And there have been some developers say that they are equally powerful. Personally, I just look at what I see with my own eyes and what I see is that the 360 outperforms the ps3 most of the time.

The 360 is not maxed out any more than the ps3 is. Naughty Dog said they pushed the ps3 to its max, but that doesn't mean that with newer approaches and optimizations that developers won't be able to get more out of the ps3.
The 360 has actually never really had an engine push it to the limit, so it has a ton of untapped potential.
If you can't see the significant improvements from Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2, you are blind.

So, Callahan, for the regions where we have reliable numbers the PS3 didn't even manage to outsell the 360 by a million consoles? This was their best year. I can guarantee they won't have as strong of an advantage ever again. They aren't going to ever redesign the console again, they won't be able to do a price drop like that again any time soon, and I seriously doubt that their lineup later this year will be as good as it was this year.

In any case the 360 currently has around a 7 million lead globally. Sony is going to have to sell a lot more ps3 than it has been to even catch up any and that is not going to be easy. The 360 has one of its strongest years ever ahead of it. Because it is exclusive in the console arena, which is what we are talking about here. It's all about the games that the ps3 has that can't be had on the 360, or games that the 360 has that can't be had on the ps3.
Currently based on reports I have read the ps3 isn't any more reliable than the 360. They both have a fairly low failure rate.
The better games comment is just your opinion. If you look at the actual library, the 360 has by far the biggest library of games this generation and statistically speaking will likely have more to appeal to the widest range of gamers than the ps3 does.
The 360 has the largest library of games of any current gen console, so to say it has "no games" only makes you look like a big fanboy.
You'll have to get a ps3 for that. Sorry.
I honestly couldn't care less about bluray at this point. One of the main reasons I got a ps3 was for bluray and you know what? I don't even really buy blurays any more. They are too expensive and the difference in quality over DVD just isn't great enough for me to pay that kind of money. Digital streaming is what I am enjoying the most right now and looking forward to the most in the future.
It's not stellar? But let me guess, you think the ps3 lineup is, right?
I am willing to bet that most people will view the 360 as having the better lineup this year.

You are a ps3 fanboy yourself so of course you are going to act all indignant when people complain about ps3 fanboys, but if ps3 fanboys stopped acting the way they do then people wouldn't complain about them. Simple huh?
Edit: I just noticed something. Lt_Skittles below doesn't even own a 360, he only owns a PS3 (I read some of his comments earlier) and even he sees how bad ps3 fanboys act.
PS3 needs a bowflex to get up to speed on all the multiplatform games and most of its exclusives. Looking good on only a couple of games and looking below average on most games is not a good sign.
I think some of you will be disappointed when you find out that FFXIII Versus looks the same and is not any bigger. That is what I predict will happen.
All big RPGs get some content taken out on the chopping block because it doesn't work or makes the game too bloated or that content wasn't up to the standard of the other content. The 360 and the PS3 are both part of the future. The are both capable machines that will be supported by their makers for many more years.
I can choose between both versions because I have both systems but I do not care about the audio because I cannot even take advantage of it because I do not have the right kind of receiver. Even when I have heard high resolution audio at my friend's house the difference was kind of small to me. I could hear the difference easily, but it was not the kind of thing that really matters to me.
You ps3 fans truly do live in your own little world. Trying to talk to you is pointless, it is like trying to talk to a wall, logic doesn't work.
PS3 has a couple nice looking games but only PS3 fans think that proves the ps3 is more powerful. When most ps3 exclusives and multiplatform games look slightly below average, you can't consider a couple fantastic looking games as anything but aberrations. It has more to do with the skill of the developer than the power of the system....
If I am not mistaken the 360 outsold the PS3 in November and December combined. It also outsold the PS3 for the year. The PS3 with all it had going for it--the redesign, the amazing bundles, the strong game lineup, and a major price drop--only managed to just squeak by the 360 in sales for December.
