And this is the problem. A series cannot end on a high note. It has to be constantly repeated and remade. Maybe that's why Valve won't make Half Life 3. Maybe they're brave enough to say "no, it's over" Only problem with that is "don't leave it on a cliffhanger!" But every HL game ended the same way.

It's not as simple as that. The PS4 has reserved 4 of those CUs for compute and audio. The xbox one has quote "special processors" built into the hardware to take the load off the GPU. Developers are used to having the GPU pump everything through. Once they learn to utilise these special processors to take load of the GPU they will be able to use more of the GPU grunt to push raw graphics.

It's a beta, buddy. The whole purpose is to test out new code to see if it has any unexpected results before they roll it out to everyone. The people on the beta agree to a set of terms and conditions that informs them there could be unforeseen consequences. This way when the update comes to everyone any major issues should have already been weeded out. I think it's an excellent idea.

Given that Sony are considering a very competitive price for Project Morpheus despite the 5 years of R&D costs, I'm not sure they have the capital to take a hit on a price cut. The irony is the PS4 already has a price cut in a way; it's original price! No one expected them to come in that low and its worked out really well for them so far. Over 6 million people have proved they are happy to pay the original price.

Looks good and fun...but...it looks nowhere near the graphical quality revealed back in February 2013. Think it's safe to say that original trailer was either CGI or running on somet ridiculous dual GPU beast PC.
Nvidia are at the direct x conference, I doubt mantle will work their cards so this guy is totally off.
It will only reach a million units because people were forced to buy it in fixed bundles with their PS4. I work in a game shop in the uk. We literally have a draw full of sealed Copies of knack that were traded in because all people wanted were the PS4. Kinda sad really.
How does VR look and feel with anything that isn't first person? I mean god of war is a classic third person hack and slash, does everything with VR have to be in first person? Some one mentions last of us. How would cut scenes look? Would it be weird?
Bought the game Friday and played with my mates over the weekend. Didn't have any of the party issues this guy is talking about. Anyone else?
Why does this surprise people? Yeah the NPD numbers were good but Sony is about to post a 1.1 billion dollar loss for the last financial year(which includes PS4 launch and all sales). Sony is more than Playstation and as long as the other parts of the business are unhealthy the overall business will suffer. Hopefully the run away success of the PS4 can stabilise them.

I'm not trying to say it's alright. I'm just saying that if you already have GOLD it doesn't affect you and it literally only affects those who want to play this type of game exclusively. They do have a choice you know, they could play it elsewhere. And I think there is enough evidence to assume how many xbox users have gold. The people who want to play online on xbox currently will have gold subscriptions because they have no choice! Again, I said...

If you want to play something other than a F2P or in your case ESO, let's say you decide you want to play the Order 1886 multiplayer or co-op, you have to buy plus and then you're effectively in the same boat as some one on XBL. You're paying for plus AND you're paying for ESO subscription. Granted you could let you plus membership expire, but what about the free games? What about if you want to play another non F2P game...
Just to put this out there. All these complaints about needing live for this game aren't looking at this objectively. Most xbox users who play online have gold anyway so it won't affect them. Infact this only affects people who are wanting to play this one game online. How many of them are there really?

Anyone who disagrees with your comment is blind. You cannot deny the performance capture techniques that Crytek has used. Behind those polygons and textures are real actors on a sound stage. That is what sets it apart. Maybe the gameplay does turn out to be generic, but the realism and the performances are there. Killzone is average at best with it's facial animation, only so much so because Ryse has raised the bar in that area.
Thing is, Xbox owners have been enjoying a feature like this for about 7 years. All because Sony didn't have any forward thinking.
And...whatever hope I had for Resident Evil 7 goes up in smoke. If this is true.
