That's a given but come on, do you really believe that there is a better take of his lines that they just decided to leave out? He will be back in the studio re-recording those lines possibly with a new script. Which goes back to my original point that their excuse is so lame and transparent but they have no choice but to make that excuse because you can't critisize your talent.
I'm sorry, but you don't pay Peter Dinklage to come and record lines that you never intend to be in the final build. It's expensive and it is also a scheduling thing with the actor. Tough line they have to walk. They can't just admit that the dialogue isn't good enough because then you alienate your talent. Or worse, open a can of workm for Dinklage to blame the script or the process and it quickly starts distracting people from what is a good game. Best thing to do would ...
Actually if you go back, you'll see the first article they did was "Xbox One vs PS4: What's Sony's machine still does better than Microsoft's." Just saying.
@ The_Hero
Have you tried xbox one with a dvr plugged into it? It's a great feature and is one of the most used features on the xbox one. I did not have to program in my individual channels. I just selected my cable provider from the list and the One Guide updated with all of them, plus one guide can also have Netflix, amazon instant video etc added as well.
App switching. You say that nothing is faster than a button press. But how about multiple button p...
If you read, you'll see that I said PS3 in regards to party chat. And yes, the reason was due to a lack of ram. But they kept teasing they'd put it in somehow. Instant resume could go the same way. It's a very resource consuming feature and it could be the PS4 may never get it. That is why I was saying I hope the PS4 does get it because it's a great feature.
I hope ps4 does get instant resume because it's amazing on my Xbox one. My only concern is there has been very little talk of when Sony users could see it. I remember hearing party chat was something they would patch into ps3 but never did . Hopefully that won't be the case with ps4. It has the arm processor for doing systems updates in the background so the hardware is there.
Did not expect Germany to be higher than the UK.
What!? Do you think that is the real reason they are releasing in other countries? They always planned to release in more countries. This sin't something they've decided to do just to keep pace with PS4. Many of these countries saw the 360 released there. Naturally it's successor will be released there as well.
Better interface is a matter of opinion. Seamless download, the X1 does this. System updates are now in the background. Installations is still a big problem. None of these are reasons people choose PS4 over xbox one. Those are things people find out after they've bought the system.
The main reasons are ones that will take years and lots of £££ to change.
1. Exclusive Games
2. Graphics power
They are the reasons people will c...
You mean you hope they invest that money in making it better. Just saying. When will we start to see improvement?
I stopped reading when you said devs should sacrifice gfx for resolution. That is the most moronic thing I have ever heard of! I would rather have a game with the most stunning graphics that are almost life like, at a lower resolution than downgraded gfx to hit 1080p. Or better performance. Ridiculous article.
Problem with The Order's hype is that it's mainly graphics based. No one is raving about the gameplay and saying this is pushing TPS in new directions. That hype will quickly diminish if the gameplay doesn't strike a cord with the people playing it and the people previewing it.
I will say this until I am blue in the face. The Order looks like it was built to be co-op. It looked set at e3 2013 to be Sony's answer to gears of war. Considering the xbox players th...
Sony would have to give hello games massive $$$ to keep this off PC. It could be the next mine craft or whatever. Lets assume 15 million PS4's by the time this comes out. Double maybe triple that number and you've got the potential PC user base. As an indie it makes no sense for them to ignore PC. As for xbox one. I think Hello Games picked their side. The wording is deliberate and maybe they are not ruling out xbox one further down the line but it definitely seems Sony have gotten in...
Interesting...last step for MS is the parity clause. It made sense when you were the platform leader but not now. You need all the games you can get.
You can market a less powerful machine and win. The Wii and PS2 say hi.
If you're focus is wrong then you will suffer. So yes, MS lack of focus or maybe understanding of what gamers wanted is why they're in this situation. Sony found themselves in the same hole 8 years ago with the PS3. That's what the above article is about. Assuming you took the time to read it. Sony had to go back, look at what their focus was and their understanding of what gamers wanted. The ...
You again. sigh. Let's look at your claims.
PS1- Considered one of the best generations, no competition. WRONG. Had to fight the N64 and Saturn. Had to differentiate itself by building on 3rd party support.
PS2- Considered one of the best generations, no competition. TIMING. Making it a DVD player from the get go was the best decision the PS2 team ever made. The timing of release just when DVD went big helped propel PS2 above it's competition at the t...
Their just lucky MS decided to put a gun to its head and pull the trigger. If MS hadn't lost focus in the 2nd half of the 360's life(looking at you kinect) and kept going with the solid base they had built, the 360 may have stayed ahead of the PS3 for lifetime sales. AND we all know where MS went wrong with xbox one. I still maintain that all they had to do to beat Sony were 3 things:
1. Backwards compatibility. Keeps people anchored to your system. Very easy for peop...
Depending on the timescale of a pc release, right now this is my only reason to go out and buy a PS4.
I agree. Problem is it is expensive to host all these games and have them ready to go at the drop of a hat. Charging individually like this lets Sony and the Publisher see whats popular and whats not. There is not point hosting a game and having it take up space on Playstation Now if barely anyone is playing it when it could be replaced with another title.
PS Now was always going to face this is Beta and in it's first few year. OnLive couldn't get it right, they bankr...
I have, and from a purely gameplay perspective it didn't do anything special or new and was fairly average(spoiler, with the exception of controlling Elle in the dinner). It's a testament to the story, characters and direction that the game is forgiven in that respect. The actual game part seems to fade into the background as these characters and their story take center stage. Whether you feel that makes it a perfect game is down to you as a person and your individual opinion.
