My favourite game of all time. So much re-playability, great characters, great story, great action...just perfect. I think we are seeing Phil Spencer's first gaff? You can't just dump this piece of information with no context or specifics. I want to know what implications this 10% increase has on my X1 that has the kinect plugged in. Will I see any benefit? Will I lose some of my voice commands or multi-tasking.
One part of this article says MS said that Kinect is mainly a draw on the CPU and not the GPU. Does this mean they held 10% back just incase but now they can get away with...
I just find it hard to believe he isn't acknowledging that devs can't have it all. There are always trade offs. I would rather take a game with stunning GFX at 720p, than a 1080p game with a lower polygon count, LOD, worse AA and no dynamic light, ray tracing etc. Ofcourse 1080p is "better" but using his logic then 4k would be better, 8k would be better...what he is talking about is how sharp the image is but he's not considering the content that's being presented.

I wouldn't be surprised. I think Remedy work on Valve time. Alan Wake was amazing though. This game will really be great.
This game just screams for Co-Op like the original gears of war had. It could be that big a hit. I hope they put co-op in it now that they've been given more time.
On the flip side, if they're going no co-op I hope it's going to have RPG elements and make it a bit mass effect. There's already a squad of characters. Imagine a loyalty system like ME2 had!
There's just so much potential with this game I just hope they don't focus too much...

Sorry! I'm not trying to be a troll or cynical. I just find it funny the dev is quoted as saying:
"the core of the game is a TPS, for sure. It will not be a revolution, this has never been the intention"
Yet the reveal on the internet the other day was called "the revolution will be televised." Does no one else find that funny?

New I.P. doesn't always get second chances. Look at Ryse, one bad reveal and there was nothing cyrtek could do to change peoples minds. You called the combat "solid" yes it was. I never really cared about how good the graphics are on this one. It was the fact they chose such a boring shootout to promote the game and the way they did it. Sony need to promote gameplay and story with this one and not graphics power.

I did hear that MS asked 343 if they wanted to wait and put Halo 4 on xbox one as a launch game but they both decided to give the 360 one more epic release.
I didn't realise we were ranking. I thought it was a general question along the lines of could anything sell equal or more than halo. I do believe Gear of War revisited with the right approach could do just that. It sold 360's before Halo 3 came out.

Just to give an example, Titanfall and Watchodgs are 792p with the kinect still plugged in and that reservation hasn't been given up to devs yet. So using your logic they could be running at high res, maybe in watchdogs case 900p same as PS...
Yet out of the three Sony is the one strugling the most finanacialy. Go figure.
