"Game over man. Game over. What are we gonna do now! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO!"
"Shut up Hudson!"
Hahahaha. Wow. People couldn't have been more off the target lol. So much for "insiders"
If you go back to the original article from Abriael the luka has highlighted, you'll notice that the devs have made some serious sacrifices to get to 60fps as it stands. Low anti aliasing, low textures, limited ambient occultation. I would gladly take those 3 over 60fps any day.
Oh no! The sky is falling!
Next up...why the first contact war is the worst direction for mass effect.
Thank you for your support, sir! Bubble up!
Esram...the new cell processor.
So is anyone else wondering if they have sacrificed anything to hit 60fps? Considering the uproar around the supposed "Downgrade" compared to the original E3 reveals. What happens if they have cut back to hit 60fps? Would you rather have the E3 2012/13 reveal at 30fps or a possible downgraded version at 60fps? This is going to be really interesting to watch.
Good. The next gen arms race continues.
This was always going to be the outcome. Sony have their good guy persona to protect. They will do anything to protect all the goodwill they have built up. Ultimately gamers will win from this.
The power difference would only result in a bump in res. The question is seeing how Titanfall is so reliant on the server back end, would Sony have the tech to power Titanfall server side? This is the reason they started with xbox one in the first place! MS had the servers, Sony did not. In fact if you read the countdown to Titanfall digital release, MS apparently funded the rest of the development after E3.
Won't know if they're copying until they reveal it. Anyway I used ME as an example. It could be something completely different.
I heard a rumour like this a while back when another "insider" supposedly leaked a load of details. Apparently Chief may have his own ship and the player can decided where they go, similar to mass effect. I think they have to do something like this. They need to innovate.
I have to say I am on the fence with Destiny. I need to see more story, more narrative. I have never been one for "go here, shoot that." I want to know about exploration, about the social aspects to the game. This is the stuff that will interest me. Not the most refined "Halo" combat we've seen yet.
Quantum break has multiple endings and hopefully even playthroughs based on decisions made at the junctions in time. I played ME1 & ME2 through at least twice each time, because decisions you made affected the game. This is where I think the Order will struggle. It looks like it should be a bioware RPG in the vein of Mass Effect but is coming off as a Gears of War style action game. With the later it needs a co-op or multiplayer segment to keep interest. With the former replay comes throu...
I hate it when they start pitching these games as massive sagas. Concentrate on making a great single game, then if it's well received make your sequel. Otherwise you're potentially setting yourself up to fail.
Comes off as a bit of a puff piece. But I can't disagree with many of his points. I think both machines are still waiting for that killer exclusive that showcases the system.
To be fair. No one heard anything from Sledgehammer while they've been working on Advanced Warfare. This three year development cycle means you'll hear less fron the devs until the year their game launches. I have no doubt Treyarch are at this very minute working on their new COD game, you just won't see or hear anything about it until may 2015.
As much as I hate the third one...yes, yes I would buy them all again.
Certainly not the resolution! :P
