They may have the best story on a next gen console but i really found The Last of Us lacking in the gameplay department. I feel, having played it, that the strength of it's story and characters is what sticks with players and not the game itself. If we were to look at pure gameplay, the game did nothing special to receive the accolades it has.

It really isn't. It is a distraction to hide the fact Sony has a barren 2014 release slate compared to it's competition. Buzz and goodwill will keep the PS4 going through 2014 but Sony better bring something special in 2015.

It's amazing on my xbox one. I had a four day gap between playing watchdogs. When I came back to it after the four days the game was right there at the pause screen! No loading!
I want this for PS4 as well. No sign of when it may happen though.
Didn't even realise it wasn't on 360 yet. It's a great game mode. Really shook things up and changed the pace and challenge of the game. Have fun 360 owners!

No pal, the reason for your perceived lack of stunning graphics comes down to the fact that Destiny is a CROSS GEN game. Watchdogs got smacked with the same thing. They have to have an engine that "scales" from 360/ps3 to x1/ps4. Watchdogs, Titanfall, Wolfenstein, Sniper Elite pretty much everything that is on old gen and next gen has had this issue. Stop spouting the parity shit. Did the xb1 stop COD from being 1080p on PS4? Did it stop the higher res on other multiplay games? No. ...

I loved the almost survival horror aspect of Doom 3. But then its better they go in a different direction rather than going over old ground. That said...I really want another sci-fi survival horror like Doom 3 or Dead Space 1!
I think people will complain its not 60fps. But I don't think bungie have ever made a 60fps game.

I don't really care to be honest. If the DLC is that good I'll get it in a year. I doubt I'll be playing the game in a year though. I mean, come on guys, do we really know if Destiny is going to be as great as the hype make it out to be? I'm sure the beta will be great but I'm talking longevity and replay value. Is it like a Skyrim where you're gonna pour well over a 100 hours into it or will it get repetitive and boring?
I have played this and it really is the best and most imaginative use of the kinect I have ever seen! If more indies get involved with the kinect it may finally meet some of its potential.
Was hoping for another new game mode. Marked for death really spiced things up!
