It'll be a good space opera but it's no Mass Effect.
Can I just add...those sales for Knack and Killzone you sight are only because Sony FORCED customers to buy them in fixed bundle packs. I work at a games retailer and I can tell you at least 50% of customers traded Knack and Killzone back in SEALED. They never played them! Sony new the stock situation with the PS4 would let them get away with this and it really is cheeky. I don't have the link, but the xbox continues to have the highest attach rate of software.
Multipats ...
With Evolve out of the way it sure has got a shot!
-_-
It'll be Halo most likely. I'm a massive Remedy fan as well and I can't wait to see Quantum Break. I just remember that Alan Wake arrived to little fanfare despite the awesome game it was. If Microsoft/Remedy really want to push Quantum Break as a killer exclusive it will need a MASSIVE marketing push. It needs to be everywhere and with the right tone as to strike a chord with people. The average person needs to see it and go, I must play this game, what's the hype about etc. ...
Very weak article. Doesn't really have much to say. We've only just started this gen, it takes time for big games to come along that make use of the new machines. The only time a console has launched with a killer exclusive was probably the original xbox with Halo 1 and maybe the N64 with Super Mario 64.
Exactly, the engine wasn't designed for this! I guess it depends on how much faith you put into the Respawn Design team to actually take an engine and try to make it do work it wasn't originally designed for. I think the evidence is there that shows they didn't quite manage the task. Titanfall is not the most demanding game on the xbox one which is why everyone struggles to understand why it's res and fps aren't that great.
Nope. The PvP is way too unbalanced and needs addressing before launch.
I love the setting of Destiny and I'm very intrigued to see how Bungie handles the story. problem with games of this type where everyone is "the one" is that the story struggles to connect with the player and make you feel like you matter.
I think we can all agree that Destiny is Halo. Or more, where Bungie would have taken Halo.
Wait a couple of months and get it on EA access ;)
I think the one thing people forget with Titanfall is it was built on the original source engine. Apparently it doesn't even have some of the latest features of the source engine that we saw in Portal 2. It doesn't look like the engine is designed for the multiple cores like the xbox 1 or playstation 4 have available. After reading count down to titanfall, respawn admit they went with the quickest and dirtiest engine they could to get results, owing to the fact they were a new company...
A cargo plane...really? Of all the thousands of games there have been...a cargo plane. Where's Hyrule's Water temple? Where's Half Life's Black Mesa? Or Half Life 2's City 17? Where's the fucking ring world from Halo? But no...a Cargo plane.
Mate, it is 800p. The space where those black bars are is not being rendered, so while it may have the same pixel density as 1080p in the rendered space, it is still not displaying the same amount of pixels as full 1080p and as such is less taxing on the hardware which is why RAD are able to push effects such as MSAA.
On topic, despite my reservations over QTE's and no Co-Op, i'm still looking forward to seeing how this turns out and will give it a go.
I've played it and I thought it was amazing!
Still playing and loving it. Slowly making my way up the generations.
Been playing titanfall for the last 2 hours. No issues here in the uk.
I don't think it's hate for indie games, I think it's hate of certain platform holders placing a lot of emphasis on indie games. Some gamers just want to play their high budget AAA games and nothing more, which is a valid choice for them. When you have certain companies promoting indies heavily over AAA games, then that portion of the gamer base will grow frustrated and voice their frustration. As we know the most vocal hide behind the anonymity of the internet and will often use ...
I think the reason for individual rentals is it is expensive to host all these different games if no one is playing them.
Say you have Game A which is hugely popular and has thousands of people playing it. That covers the cost of hosting and makes a profit. Now Game B isn't popular, it gets a handful of users playing it now and then. Those users can't cover the cost of hosting and so Game B starts to lose the service money. As the provider you can decide Game B isn...
Only in the context of not wanting to pay for xbox live gold. If you're happy to pay for xbl gold then you're still getting a good deal.
Interesting...good move MS/EA.
Where's Quantum Break? :(
