That said, resolution doesn't make great games, great games make great games. I would happily play this in 720p because it's so god damn fun.

@Abriel. I agree to an extent. Some of the achievement art does look a little too dark but then some really stand out, like ones from Shadow Of Mordor.
I don't think it's a problem to not like the idea of getting the whole game, BUT you shouldn't have that worry if all you're concerned with is single player. You will not miss MP because you don't intend to use it.
I think a little perspective is in order. If you are a Halo fan but don't want to play MP then I think you can skip the patch as the 1-4's SPs are all on the disc. If you are a Halo fan who does want to play MP then you will have an internet connection and thus the ability to download the patch.
On a separate note. Perhaps MS could have done a second disc that was purely install and you used to install the multiplayer and then run from the main disc. Only problem with...

What exactly is the xbox one not delivering? If anything it was Ryse 1 that did not deliver. If crytek had added more substance to the game then maybe it would have sold more because it would have been a better game. Playing Shadow of Mordor recently just makes me feel that Ryse 1 could have been so much more if Crytek weren't so focused on graphics and cinematic presentation.
I'm hoping 2015 for this one but knowing Remedy, spring 2016 seems more likely :(

My main point, which you glossed over, is that you didn't bother to do a full list for xbox. You then criticise the console for its lack of games. Well you're ignorance doesn't mean there aren't a ton of games coming out on the xbox one as well as the PS4 next year.
You can't say for sure Scalebound, Phantum Dust and Crackdown 3 will not make 2015. Look to Sunset Overdrive. It had a CG trailer in 2013 and is releasing in 2014.
