Wii may have first place but it wont be long before Wii is phased out for a new HD Wii so IMO Wii is only a place holder console. Its Nintendo's way to buy time so they can build a more lasting product.

I can't believe PS3 has been out for almost 3 years and we haven't seen a Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, God of War, Twisted Metal, Kingdom Hearts, Team Ico game or Tekken (although that's coming soon). Sony has consistently outsold the Xbox 360 in the same time frame without all of those key franch...
This game is here to separate the men from the boys. I died 3 times in the first area and each one was painful but after beating that phalanx boss I am loving this game like few I have ever owned.
This is why Destructoid should stay away from anything but the Wii. They are simply not hardcore enough to be a gaming website. I have been saying it for a long time but now here is the proof. We should all use Demon's Souls as a litmus test to see whether a reviewer is worth their stuffing.
Piracy is just as rampant on the 360 lately. ODST was all over the internetz for a whole month before release. If this is a move to limit piracy, IW is in for a big surprise. I hope the steam PC version is still available on the 10th.

320 GB is very impressive but I hear the theoretical maximum is 1 TB. Can you imagine all the PS3s greatest hits on 1 Blu-ray disc? Sony struck gold with this format and no matter what all the haters say, this format is here to stay for quite some time. People just like physical media and when are we going to need more than 1 TB discs for burnable media? 15 years? 20?

this game will MAKE you into the world's greatest gamer (Or at least a very capable one). Think of this as training for the big leagues. Every success in this game will ignite your desire to go further and further. Until you've beaten the game and you get your very own membership into the hardcore gamer club (figuratively speaking). And from then on, every time you see a new Ninja Gaiden game (or some other hardcore title) released, you will laugh a hearty laug...
Okay now I'm officially impressed. This game wasn't even on my radar but after so many perfect and nearly perfect reviews, I am forced to pay attention. 2 more days to go!
You can't spell ignorance without IGN. PS3 is on the victory march and some people can't stand that the balance of power has shifted. Suddenly M$ is playing defense and Sony is playing offense.

Guess what IGN (and the media in general)? Sony has a history of shattering expectations. Doubt Sony at your own peril!

BACK HOME, that's where. PlayStation is the place we all go back to when we have had enough of being ignored by Nintendo and sold faulty hardware by Microsoft. Its good to be home.
I don't think its going to sell that well either, FFXII was a major failure in many people's minds and XI was an MMO which most of us hardcore RPG players despise. FFXIII better bring down the house with its awesomeness or XIII might be the "Final" Fantasy.
For all of us old school FF players, I say this, please don't suck!

This is freakin ridiculous. I've heard of the YLOD but I have never once seen it. EVER. PS3s failure rate is about the same as the PS2's.
On the other hand, my Xbox 360 RRODed 3 times before I sold it to some sucker on EBAY and bought myself a nice slick piano black 60 GB backwards-compatible PS3. And in 2 1/2 years, my PS3 has never had a single issue. If the YLOD does exist (and thats a big IF) you have almost no chance of getting it.

Yeah Gears ending made no sense at all. Assassin's Creed's ending was so weird I still can't figure out what kind of dope those developers were on. Fallout 3's ending was a lot better after Broken Steel. Prince of Persia's was actually very poetic and the epilogue set up a sequel very nicely (still didn't like having to pay for it though).
But Far Cry 2 had the wort ending ever IMO. You never find out if your character kept their end of the bargain with the Jackal. So many quest...
