I really wish these games would find a better system for upgrading besides gear score.
Can't wait! One of my absolute favorite games.
Don't forget Insomniac! I really wish they'd revive the Resistance franchise, though I'm perfectly fine with a Spiderman sequel, ratchet and clank, or even a new IP as well.
Don't know how Metal Gear Solid didn't make this list. Shadow Moses has all the holiday vibes lol.
I've been kinda on the fence about giving the game a try. Is it like a straight ARPG or is it rogue like?
Don't get me wrong, I loved Nioh back when it released. But after playing Sekiro, and then trying out the beta for Nioh 2, I dunno... The combat just doesn't feel as tight or impactful as it should.
Well it was one of the free games on PS plus a few months back. And at least on PSN it has been in multiple sales they've had. You can't really blame them for not pushing for more sales on a almost 3 year old game. Even for people that might not have known about it and the sequel has their interest, they'd probably be much more likely to just dive into the new game.
Ugh, hopefully this doesn't start another trend of crybaby articles about the game is too hard and needs to be more accessible like there was with Sekiro.
Or how about, I dunno .... Make a new Warcraft?
Shadow!
I know what you mean, Gamer's club has been amazing. Mines actually still active till mid February, so I went ahead and preordered all the games I know for sure I want to get day 1, since they still honor the discount as long as you don't make any billing changes after GC expires. But yeah I'm thinking about pre-ordering this at best buy now too, along with the collectors at GameStop :/. I missed out on the steelbook with 2 and still regret it lol.
I didn't mean to make Thor's character in GOW anything like the MCU Thor. Just like how Hercules in GOW3 was nothing like the Hercules from the Kevin Sorbo series. Like I said just getting him to be the voice actor was just kinda neat. Jeez lol.
As long as Thor continues to have a huge buildup that leads to an amazing fight, I'll be happy. It'd be kinda awesome if they got Chris Hemsworth to do the voice of Thor just for fan service. They got Kevin Sorbo to do Hercules in GoW3 and that was great lol.
Sigh, this slightly hurts my hype for the game. Though I mostly want it to play the single player campaign, I was interested in dabbling in the MP as well. And I already wasn't fond of supporting Bethesda. With all the other games coming out soon, I might put this one off till black Friday. Decisions decisions..
That's kinda how I feel about it too tbh. It's not popular opinion, but he used the tournament publicity as a platform to express political protesting. Don't shit where you eat.
@Crimson
It's arguing semantics honestly. You can bend the definition of either term in whichever direction to suit your argument. Best to just let it be lol. Although the devs and publishers market it as a remake and since it's their IP, I feel like they kind of have more of a say in it than anyone else.
Yes it is.
Sekiro difficulty was perfect imo. It was rough until you learned to parry and counter, and got your confidence up. Being too defensive in it wasn't the way to go. Sure I guess you could say it's inaccessible for casual gamers that don't wanna take the time to really get into it, but that model is what made it all the more rewarding.
I don't see the need to defend whether or not the game is boring because that's purely your opinion, and nothing I can say will change that you think it's boring. I'm not commenting to defend this particular game as much as just point out how ridiculous it is that you feel the need to complain about the game being something YOU don't like every time it's mentioned.
I thought it was ridiculous when IGN gave it GOTY before I played it. Gotta say after going through it, it's deserving of the praise. Personally I'd still say Sekiro is my GOTY, but Control is definitely up there as a close runner up. I played it on a pro and didn't have too many technical issues, but I'd love to see it running on a high end PC with all the chaos going on and effects everywhere.
