Nobody NEEDS it, and that's the great thing about PS+, it is completely optional. I recommend that if something comes up in a particular that you haven't played, then buy a year subscription. If not, then it's not really necessary for you. For me though, I've not played Borderlands, Red Dead or Just Cause 2 on my PS3, or a lot of the PSN titles, so it was well worth getting. I'm actually thinking of getting a stacked PS+ subscription on September 5th due to the 25% discoun...
I'm actually kinda glad about this news, because it means at least we'll get the game as soon as it's ready. Obviously anything like this is bad news for Nintendo, but tbh, they've got enough titles at launch, and I'm sure they'll get more support as time goes on for he Wii U.
When I first saw the trailer for this game, I immediately thought that it looked like a PlayStation Move game, but a really good one. So I'm quite surprised that that isn't in the fact sheet at all. Surely a game called Puppeteer would work really well with the Move controller?
@Knight_Crawler - You never buy nothing, means you always buy something.
There are some great games on the Vita. Wipeout, Uncharted, Escape Plan, Super Stardust Delta and Gravity Rush are the best ones available, and even Rayman Origins is pretty awesome on Vita.
When Pachter was talking about it a while ago, his reasoning behind saying similar things like that is that he completely expects that the 3DS will not sell anywhere near as much as the DS in lifetime sales, even though initial sales are overtaking DS sales in the same period. If you think about it, he could be right, because it was mostly bought for a casual audience.
The only unknown factor is the holidays really, and I'd guess the 3DS will do extremely well during thi...
I'm surprised that this list didn't comprise of only FF13 and FF13-2 characters.
No, all fanboys are idiots, but PC fanboys are the worst.
I think the PS achievement system was rumoured to be called accomplishmments at one point too.
If it actually does cost anywhere near $400, EPIC FAIL from Nintendo. Sony will be able to offer a PS Vita and PS3 bundle for less than that soon, and Xbox 360 is already less than half that price.
I started playing Borderlands on 360 recently, and I got to the second area. I might just give up and start again on PS3, should be able to play it a bit quicker and get the trophies.
What's the point of developing on the Vita, if you don't use it's features?
Stupid article.
Tbh, I'd expect Sleeping Dogs to suffer more than Darksiders 2 since it's a new IP really. But I agree, one of them should have delayed their game or something.
To an extent, even if he was joking, he is right. Because Nintendo gamers tend to buy whatever Nintendo puts out in terms of software. Look at Wii Music sales for example, the game is terrible, yet it still sold over 3 million. That, and the fact that Nintendo consoles tend to have really bad third-party support, shows that Nintendo gamers are bothered mostly about Nintendo games and that's it, and that's a bad thing for the bigger audience. It means you get a load of shovelware, and ...
This is very true, and I'm soooo surprised to see MM and GG working on Vita games, when the PSP was pretty much overlooked by mainstream devs and Bend Studio had to make ports of stuff.
This was a terrible conference, same content as the E3 conference pretty much, just a little new footage.
Well it is Asus, so should work.
@JamieL - That's usually a reaction to the idiotic statement by fanboys that 360 is outselling PS3 in North America, who seem to think that NA = The World.
They'd just lower the price before the release date of the new slim, and the old slims would fly off the shelves. That's what happened with the phat when the original slim was announced.
Red Dead Redemption is a huge game, I only partly played it, so great to know I will get it for free and finish it off. Can't wait for the Vita stuff.
Was just about to say the exact same thing.
