Well not really. Final Fantasy was called Final Fantasy because the company released it as their last game ever. But, it did so well, that the company survived and continued making games under that name.
With MGS, it's pretty clear that Kojima wants to work on other projects, but it seems like one of two things is happening:
1. He either passes the game over to another director, and when he sees what that person comes up with, he hates it and realizes he ...
It seems like what they mean is that you can port a UE4 game to the Wii U, but it will run on UE3 and may or may not be able to do everything that the game originally could do.
Still, the fact that EA also said Frostbite 3 won't work on it is almost showing how much confidence these guys have in the system, which is to say, almost none.
Sony have said that it is subject to change though.
WOAH!! This is the best news I have ever heard!! This idiot ruined Squaresoft, and I hope to God that the new guy is nothing like him.
@godmars - True, but that just means that they are more likely to have more things to show at this E3. I mean their first party studios haven't really made any significant games in the last few years, so they might have something surprising to show.
First GOW: Ascension, now this, a few years ago, this would have been a non-issue, now people are crying about somebody making a joke about being tired. Thank you again twitter for getting offended over some useless crap that was clearly not intended to cause offence!
Exactly. You live up to your name CommonSenseGamer.
@Gildarts - How exactly? This is a perfectly valid conclusion. You obviously don't know what flamebait is because anyone who was a member of N4G since 2007 does.
@Caseh - simple:
1. It's not too expensive to get 1 Terabyte or even 2 terabyte HDDs nowadays.
2. Not all games will be 50GB in size, in fact most of them probably won't even use the second layer of the disc for the first couple of years.
3. You could always delete the gam...
While I don't see FUSE selling well at all (Pachter seems to think it will sell 5 million), I also don't see Sony buying them out. Insomniac has said that they want to be independent, and that won't change unless they are really in trouble and don't want to downsize. Plus, FUSE won't be the only game they are making as they have three teams I believe.
Racism basically.
Great PS Plus month for me, I don't have any of these games for once, and have been dying to check out Okami. Might break my PS Move out again.
@DOM - Sony have OFFICIALLY said that it doesn't blocked used game. Shuhei Yoshida said in an interview after the PlayStation Meeting in February. With regards to your other points, I'm pretty sure that most publishers aren't stupid enough to think that forcing gamers to buy new games and not reselling them is the way to go.
As mentioned by several games industry journalists and analysts, as well as gamers themselves, many buy new games, and sell them on in order...
No virus, false positive from Kaspersky and NOD32 heuristic scanner, most likely just picking up the ad server as a virus.

@darth - Almost definitely they mean "Always on" in the sense that there will always be a connection to MS' server. Which would mean DRM, which would mean problems.
Just look at SimCity. \thread
Not really a gameplay feature though. Would be cool, but I would prefer something more substantial.
There's also the possibility though that it may simply be a design quirk for the prototype controller. They may make it look different for the actual controller.
@Neon - Well yeah, but... "So where are all of those people who said Wii U games would have worse A.I. compared to the 360 and PS3?"
I would also like to know because I don't remember anyone ever saying this.
What I find ridiculous about this is that it's taken them so long to remake this, yet they can continue to churn out FF13 games at the drop of a hat, when most gamers want Versus XIII more than anything. WTF is wrong with Square Enix? Do they have to be on the brink of bankruptcy to realize that they are stupid?
I can't believe that this was once the company (or at least part of it) that made FF7, 8, and 9. All they think about is re-using assets from previous games n...
@papashango - I'm aware that AMD also make CPUs which is why I mentioned that they can make combined CPU/GPU chips much better than nVidia currently. I'm not saying that nVidia is crap, they do make the best PC graphics cards, and Intel make the most efficient processors right now, but the AMD option is easier and most likely cheaper than going the Intel+nVidia route.
It might not be as efficient as Intel chips, but it is cheaper because of it. And it might not be as...
This is a really great interview, lots of good details regarding the PS4's architecture.
