The guy who hosted CES panel for them just said it, just checked the live stream they did, and they have cut the Q&A off at the end when he talks about it... luckily i have the video downloaded. :)
If they don't allow Blu-Ray movie playback, it is the dumbest decision they have ever made. Because there are bound to be people who look at it and think, I may as well buy a Xbox 720 instead of a Blu-Ray player. If it doesn't have that feature then that won't happen.

1. No it doesn't, but there is no way we can know sold numbers other than for North America, which is tracked by NPD. And these ARE estimates, but are usually quite accurate because they are based on a small sample of real data from stores and then extrapolated, however they don't include sales from supermarkets like Walmart.

I'm a huge fan of this genre, and Thief is actually better than both MGS and SC. Although I would say Splinter Cell used to be better than MGS at stealth, but the last game really sucked in that department and the new one looks the same.

Its even cheaper than the 360 here, i hink basic X360 is £149.
Tbh though, the Vita has way more gameplay functionality that the Wii U tablet controller. For example, it is multi-touch on the front and back, whereas the Wii U tablet controller is not multi-touch at all.
This cross-play thing doesn't sell the Wii U, and it doesn't really sell the PS3 (although it may push Vita sales a little), it's just Sony's way of saying, "There's nothing special about the Wii U" because they can do them same on their sys...
@wrath- No the Vita did have a great launch line up, better than pretty much every console I can think of. Granted there haven't been much major releases since then, but the launch games were really great.
Personally I hope they don't make any more, AC3 was a bad game, so disappointing, and repetitive, the series peaked at Brotherhood, and has been downhill since then.

No point at all, they should just focus on 1080p across the board, because by the time 4k TV's are prominent in the home, the next console will be due.

The "The Last of Us" thing is really stupid. If you look at the situation and the story, then blowing the dude's head off is completely valid in TLOU. It's not needless violence like you might see in other games, it has a reason, and a good one at that.
Why do you think The Walking Dead is one of the most popular TV series on at the moment? Because it isn't afraid to show violence when it needs to, and that violence works well in the story.

Honestly, this was the worst trailer of the show imo, because it showed almost nothing compared to every other game. Still though, it looks pretty good.

Sites like this are always quick to play the "it's doomed" card, it was the same with the PS3, and look at it now.
I'm not a big fan of what Nintendo is doing with the Wii U, but it's way too early to say whether or not that is doomed either.
