He gave NBA 2K12 8.5...
/facepalm.
Obligatory low score for hits review...
@vulcan - I don't know why people disagreed with you, maybe it's because you are a bit of a PC fanboy, but you definitely know what you are talking about when it comes to PC architecture, and the PS4 and XBone have both got PC-like architecture's this time round, so a comparison between them can be done far more easily than in any previous generation of consoles.
So I believe what you said is 100% true.
Why not focus on good content instead of blaming the second hand games market? It is easy to put the blame on this market, and even though I don't buy many used games now, I used rent a lot of games (one every couple of weeks) during the PS1 and PS2 generation.
What that means is that I am now purchasing games new because I liked renting certain games at that time. If you kill the used games market, people with initially low incomes (i.e. children), who when they eventual...
It's just plainly obvious that they have no clue what to do after the backlash regarding the used games stuff, so they are literally stalling for time. They just keep saying stuff, but providing no real information, but at E3 they will have to be clear. And by clear, they need to come out and say, in the first five minutes:
"You don't need to connect online to play a game ever, you don't need to install it if you don't want to, you don't need check in...
I'm genuinely surprised at this score. Edge are notorious for giving even big blockbuster games, relatively low score e.g. 7.
@AACE5 - Bundled with a game, possibly 3 months free XBL. Same with the PS4 bundle, but will probably get 3 months PS+, possibly also the camera, although that would make the PS4 bundle way more valuable.
Obviously Kinect comes in every box with Xbox One, I just don't think Sony would pass up the opportunity to make $50 more if Xbox One is announced at $399, because the initial buyers are the ones that buy it at any price point.
Love how much passion this woman has for gaming
He's still at SE, he's just not in charge.
Personally, I'd expect both to be priced as follows:
$399 (Basic SKU)
$449 (Bundle)
@Molyneux - Nobody believes a word you say. You've cried wolf far too many times.
It's not the worst game ever, but it is DEFINITELY the worst Max Payne game. The first game was incredible, GREAT story, innovative gameplay, unique levels. MP3 was basically just, go in a room, kill all the dudes, go in the next room. So in that sense it is just your average, albeit big budget, third person shooter.
@Mr_Nuts - I definitely agree with that last bit of your comment. Just goes to show that there are a lot of very young gamers on N4G that probably didn't...
What's weird is that almost all of the votes, apart from the controller, are 4:1, to PS4: Xbox One
$1 Billion doesn't actually seem like too much if this is the budget for the entire generation (lets say 10 years), including marketing costs. That equates to $100 million a year, which is at most 2 AAA games, but we know that this will also include XBLA games, DLC contracts with other devs, and Kinect titles.
No chance they'll cost that much, just the same as the pre-order price for the PS4 is $600. It is place holder, and Amazon don't want a repeat of the under-priced WiiU console pre-order they did last time, where they had to sell them at the discounted price at a loss.
Any console that gets hacked always sells more units, that's the sad truth for the developers, but good for Nintendo in a round about way.
Whatever Microsoft do, unless Don Mattrick goes on stage and shoots Kaz Hirai in the face, I can't imagine any scenario where they "kill Sony". If they reverse every single one of their stupid new policies, and announce 15 new exclusives, and Sony have a normal E3. They will simply have had a better E3 than Sony, and would not have "killed" them.
The MIGHT be able to "kill Sony" if Sony takes on all of their used games blocking (it is basical...
Because as we all know, pedophiles can't jump.
:)
@Icicle - It's because they showed the actual box, so people can know exactly what they are buying and how it will fit into their entertainment centre. PS4 will jump up to number 1 after E3 most likely as well.
Hey hey hey guys, Microsoft Netherlands just really loved Killzone Shadowfall, you can't blame them for preferring it over the games that Microsoft showed at their press conference. At least it shows that Microsoft Netherlands are honest.
hehe
