LOL that is such a biased list. Sony said they would have over 100 games released in the first year of PS4, and they showed at least 10 different indie titles, and lets be honest, way more than that, at the actual conference. And they STILL have first party studios that haven't announced their games such as Naughty Dog.

@darth - the only people I saw saying that we're people with older cable boxes complaining that the "live tv" features would be useless for them. And to be fair, that is a valid concern considering that is a major feature of the Xbone. Doesn't matter tome because I wouldn't use that feature even if I bought an Xbone.
@JOY -Did you actually read the story? It means they won't have online passes for their own games but third party can do whatever they want. EXACTLY the ame as this gen.
I was a little disappointed that Sony snuck that in there, but I have had PS+ for a while now and it is absolutely 100% worth it and my subscription is paid up until some point next year, so this doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. This possibly has to do with how anti-consumer the XBone is that I was willing to accept the PS+ cost to play online.

This was pretty obvious from the announcement at Sony's conference, however, I am glad that it is FINALLY coming at all. Versus XIII looked way better than FFXIII back when they showed it years ago, and it still looks like the better game, so I am very much looking forward to it. If that means it had to go multiplat to justify development, then I am more than happy to swallow that bitter pill. @Killzoned - FFXV and KH3 are not confirmed as exclusive. The first thing I noticed was the fact that they specifically didn't mention that. FFXIV is exclusive to PS3/PS4. However, the rest of the games you mentioned are of course great. You could also add DriveClub.

I don't understand what happened with Insomniac. The main R&C games have always been great, but since Resistance 3 and R&C: All 4 One, they've gone downhill. R3 left out some really great features that R2 implemented, not to say it was a bad game, and All 4 One was just an abomination. I really hope they can turn themselves around as they seem to be focusing on quantity rather than quality.
PS3 was £425 at launch, this is MORE expensive and a lot worse in many many ways. They showed some great games, as I expected, but they didn't even mention the DRM issues and had the gall to say "We Listened" when they announced Killer Instinct. The best thing at this event was TitanFall (I would bet this is a timed exclusive, if I was a betting man), but that is nowhere near enough for me to buy this console at such a high price.

I just want a GOOD FF game at this rate, and I don't care what system it is on. FF13 is okay, but it's nowhere near as good as the older titles.
As much as I like to blame MS for all of this DRM stuff, it is looking likely that Sony will also have a similar DRM system (although the lack of online requirement pretty much confirms that it will be nowhere near as limiting as the Xbone).
We probably should be blaming the publishers, because I can easily see that EA and Activision had a hand in this announcement, and it was probably one of the reasons why they were both at the MS press conference. If PS4 goes DRM-free, and...
Kinect 2.0 is likely to suffer the same stigma as the Wii U. People already played the Wii and realized it was very gimmicky (I literally only played mine for two weeks), and now very few people actually care about the Wii U (although more now that Xbox One is so messed up). Kinect is the same, people will already understand the gimmick, and won't really care for it. Especially the casuals who bought so much of the Kinect units.
@Dmarc - The other thing is, "can only be given once", so once this person has activated it and given it back to the original user, if he wants to borrow it again, he will have to buy it.
This is what is known as a "half measure", and as Walter White learned, "no more half measures". And what they'll do is in the future, make these rules even more draconian, so in the next gen you will roll over and accept them.
