Agreed.
@JOY - That's debatable considering the dpad and bumpers absolutely suck on the 360 controller. If you look at it that way, DS3 convex triggers are an annoyance at best.
On topic - Love the new Xbone controller, I think it looks great, especially the bumpers and the dpad. I also like how the back isn't protruding any more, but it is a bit ridiculous that we will have to buy play and charge kits yet again, when PS4 controller has an internal battery. Say what you want ...
Just showing games isn't enough. Who knows when half of the stuff MS showed will even release! Even in the Sony conference, they showed KH3, and nobody mentions it because we all know that it is nowhere near release. That was the case with a lot of titles at MS' conference e.g. Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Halo etc.
Sony didn't even show anything from Naughty Dog, or Sony Santa Monica, two of their best developers. Difference is, MS HAD to show all games at E...
People only click the "Disagree" button to annoy the people who actually care about that feature. Don't worry about it.
@Kietz - Ah right, I didn't get that, but still, as I always say, it is stupid to compare consoles and PCs. Consoles are for the most apart static hardware, and significantly cheaper than equivalent PCs. They also allow you to buy one product, and be sure that you are likely to be able to play hundreds of multiplatform games for the next 7-10 years on the same hardware and OS. You can't say the same about PC.
Third party games will look better on PS4, simply because te architecture is not a puzzle anymore. It'll be almost opposite of this gen. So PS4 will have better looking multiplats and better exclusives again.
@keyz - Dreamcast has internet gameplay before Xbox, and even PS2 had the capability. It's not something MS invented, they just forced it on the consumer, and it worked. They tried forcing DRM on the consumer with the Xbone, and it didn't.
@gman - so you're going to buy a $499 Xbone so you can watch TV? Stupid reason to buy a games console IMO.
It seems to be direct competition with Asda who have dropped the price. This is insanely cheap considering PS3's are still being sold for £199.
Who said it wouldn't sell out? The PS3 sold out at launch and it was $599, new consoles ALWAYS sell out. What matter is what happens after, because the mass market (not necessarily casual gamers), tend to go for the cheaper console.
It'll be like a second tier to PS+, probably called PlayStation World which is what was rumoured earlier.
I hear the Amazon UK stock is running low too, PS4 is the first console I have ever pre-ordered!

@Truehellfire - That's not necessarily true, because you can load better and more detailed textures with more RAM, which helped games like GeOW a lot.
On topic - possible RROD issues could happen, if MS is going to overclock this late in development. If it's true, it would yet another reason to wait a year to buy an Xbone, just to make sure there aren't any hardware issues. However, the overclock is very little, it's as if they are seeing how much of an overcl...
MS: "We're sorry that you figured out that we were going to charge you more for games than before. We thought you were more stupid, but we still believe that you are gullible, so we're going to tell you this was an error, and you'll believe us."
I thought this was confirmed to be Dust 514-related, seen as Edge had a cover which had the exact same wording "When Worlds Collide" and it was Dust 514
I was about to comment saying that this was a great bundle, until I realised it said OR instead of AND with the games.
@dedicatedtogamers - But they're not in the red, they are still making plenty of profit, so that doesn't matter that much.
On topic - I don't see this as a good thing. If anything, having the Windows head as the Xbox head will make things even worse for the gamers, because she will have no clue about the games business at all. At a time when MS needs to show that they are about the gamers, hiring a suit to replace Don Mattrick (however big of a nob he was), is not...
@Mysticstrummer - 1 ad isn't going to cut it. :D
Seriously though, MS ads tend to be quite good, so will be interesting to see if ad money can bring them out of the hole they've dug for themselves.
Probably just a placeholder, let's wait and see if they try this, would be interesting to see if they actually sell well.
@camel- True, TLOU proves that it pays to be unique. If only Insomniac had stuck to their guns with Fuse *sighs*
