It's a Trojan horse for advertising IMO, all the stuff they showed at their original reveal just screamed advertising, and the fact that the console had to be always online was part of that idea I think, because it would have allowed them to collect statistics on a daily basis on what games you are playing, what you are watching, what you are searching the Internet for. Coupled with kinect, they could even target ads at the people in the room, so kids get ads for toys and kid games, and o...
@Izumo - The problem with MS is that there own execs no nothing about their own system, and on top of that, they aren't experienced enough technically to now what they're talking about. See post MS conference and E3 interviews, where none of them had a clue.
On the other hand, Sony has confirmed that Cerny was responsible for the PS4, and as he is a developer, he actually does know what he's saying.
On topic - If true, that's great, but the s...
@RFornillos - No I did not know that :(. I thought it was like Dragon Quest, just exclusive, but not owned by them.
Sony should buy them because they need a JRPG studio, and if I can get Fire Emblem on PS4, that would be awesome. Nintendo already has quite a few RPG studios.
Microsoft also need a JRPG studio, but I can't see them buying this company because most of their titles are quite niche titles. Although, it would help in Japan, if the Xbone didn't sell enough, they would eventually have to close the studio.
This story just reminded me of the "China Don't Care" t-shirt that Ryan Davis designed :(
It's not really supposed to be a Forza beater, GT already does that, this is supposed to be more of an arcade racer, and it looks fine for that.
ND hasn't made a bad game since the first Crash Bandicoot, so they are definitely one of the best developers when it comes to providing consistently good games.
If anyone with a PS3 hasn't bought this game, buy it now, it is an amazing game (no exaggeration), easily one of the top 5 this generation, and perhaps even across generations. They'll be winning a lot of GOTY awards for it, no doubt.
@George - Why would anyone be surprised that a fanboy like you thinks Kiler Instinct looks good? It looks good graphically, but I can't really say anything about gameplay until I play it.
Tbh, when they showed it at E3, and the fact that it is called PROJECT Spark, suggested to me that this was a half finished title, so glad to see MS has seen that and decided to offer it for free. I would never have bought it if/when I get an Xbone.
Guts are better than glory.
LOL Double Helix, I actually thought this was a joke article when I clicked into it.
LOL, it's a Jak & Daxter clone, like Unearthed and Uncharted hehe.
I'm sure it's pretty clear that MS are funding the game which is why it is exclusive, don't see why a story is needed tbh.
@Spinal - Good points, but it takes Rockstar 5-6 years to make a game. Also, Max Payne 3 was a terrible game, anyone who has played the first two games (especially the first one) would agree.
This actually looks very good, the colours and lighting are fantastic, and it looks like they've added a lot of new gameplay features.
Thing with Sony though, is that even though Sony Liverpool has closed, the IPs still exist, and they could make (and probably will) sequels to the franchises that Sony Liverpool developed.
@Gman - You don't need to put "..." every few words in your posts, I don't think you understand what the point of it is.
Those guys really didn't know what to do, wow, they should have just kept talking over the booing imo, but they stopped, basically allowing the booing to get louder.
It's also interesting to note that EVO is dominated by Xbox 360s as the main gaming console, so most of the audience probably were Xbox fans.
@megalagann - regarding Bayonetta, I think he's right. Just look at MadWorld for the Wii, everyone thought it was going to be THE hardcore game for Wii and would sell tons, and it sold like shit. Bayonetta has one advantage, and that is that it is not a new IP, but I can't see people buying WiiUs to play the game.
