What do you mean slimey? It's a direct link to the twitter conversation! The point is, that we all know the cloud is complete bullshit. Everything that they've said so far that the "Cloud" can do, can be done without the cloud right now.
Great news for indie devs, although the way he responded makes it sound like it won't be ready at launch. He said the "Goal is...", which suggests that they're working on it.
At least they're listening now, way better than a few months ago. I commend you MS.
@Blachek - Yes, you need to buy a $499 console to watch TV. LMAO.
PS4 will be as good a media hub, if not better than Xbone, barring the TV integration. PS3 is already a better media hub than the 360, so why won't PS4 have all the same features and more? Also, Torne.
On topic - Sounds like what Cboat was saying on Neogaf, he also said there will be a kinect-less Xbone in 2014, so yet another reason to wait a while before buying this console.
This announcement reminds me of the following line in Enemy of the State:
"You're either incredibly smart or incredibly stupid."
It should mean more games, and technically everyone could be a developer. However, this IS going to be hacked, and potentially could be hacked without the need for any third party hardware. A custom firmware flash could unlock an Xbone into a console that allows you to play debug code, which essentially would mean you ...
Thank you Sony for making Xbone better. :)
Good for MS, I wonder if it will pass 100 million ever. Can't see it happening because of the new consoles, but would be interesting to see how long PS3 and 360s legs stretch.
@nuke - You look like the blind fan girl to many many people on this site. The Xbox 1.5 comment made by Kutaragi was in direct relation to the power boost from the previous gen. So power does matter in this instance.
@malokevi - See fr0sty's reply. Thanks fr0sty, was going to reply and say the same thing. I don't get how people don't understand what "yield issues" means, although of course they may not of heard of the supply issues that have been widely rumored.
@JOY - All evidence points to Xbone having less units than PS4 from several retail stores. GameStop were even offering unlimited preorders for PS4 but not for Xbone. That suggests that there are more PS4s available for preorder already. Unless MS has a massive additional production run, I can't see them catching up to Sony in the amount of units, let alone make 3 times as many!
I mean come on, he might be an analyst, but that's just not possible. MS would have to incr...
MS won't outship Sony if the yield problems are true. It's just not possible. And looking at the unit numbers a lot of retailers have got, it definitely looks like Sony is shipping way more than MS right now.
@nuke - Somehow, that makes his predictions even worse. At least if he thought the gap was $50, then that's not a huge margin in a consumer's mind. But $100 difference, and he thinks it will sell 3:1? Wow, this just shows you, learn to appreciate Pachter...
@nuke - So what you're saying is, PS4 is PS3.5, but Xbox One isn't Xbox 540? PS4 is more powerful, cheaper, smaller, better designed, more free online services.
PS4 is waaay ahead of the Xbone in terms of power, and the reason why the PS3 was a success is because it's Sony. They are known for supporting games systems for much much longer than MS, and if MS was in the same position as Sony was this generation, I guarantee we would not have got half of the games and...
Turok?
Yup, NEVER going to happen in 2014. FFXIV is at best late 2014, KH3 will only come after that.
They say they are taking a financial hit, but to be fair, Sony is probably funding the majority, if not all of the game, so it's to be expected. If it's good, it will still sell.
@Black-Helghast - Because it's EA, because the developers have hinted at it, and because it will.
On topic - 15 minutes was confirmed a looong time ago, don't know where Eurogamer pulled 7 minutes out of. This feature will help a lot with walkthroughs, gameplay demos etc, the longer the better.
If they remain third party it would be best, but out of Sony and Nintendo, Sony needs a JRPG studio much much more. If MS bought them, the studio would be closed within a couple of years.
The first inFamous had a better story than the second and is well deserving of a 9 simply because of the fun factor. The only reason people say it should be less is if they've played the sequel. I mean, of course the sequel is going to be better, but the original was great for its time, one of the best PS3 exclusives IMO.
Satire pieces are making N4G worse. There was a time when it was completely not allowed, it needs to go back to that because the last few "satire" pieces have just been titled with completely lying headlines, a bullshit and badly written article, and then submitted. It gives the site owner hits, who then posts "This is Satire" on the bottom of the article on N4G.
I'm not even going to click on the link because it is just a ridiculous concept, unless it...
Knack looks like a great little game imo. I think people are expecting too much, if you want an old school platforming type game, buy Knack, if you don't, then don't. Simple as that, fortunately Sony has got a wide variety of launch titles so there is something for everyone. Knack is one that I will probably pick up, because it reminds of Katamari and Crash Bandicoot.
@Logic - Where are the great titles? The only good games are TitanFall and Halo, both of which are coming out in 2014, and Titanfall isn't exclusive because I can play it on PC or 360, also, MS confirmed with Halo 4 that it was a start of a new trilogy on 360, so that next Halo is probably going to be 360 and Xbone.
Why would I need to buy it at launch? At least with PS4, inFAMOUS is confirmed for Q1 2014, and I REALLY want that game. Everything else is icing on the cake...
