It's been a big, big month. I mean, yeah, E3, but even the stuff coming out after that...
Nice idea, shame about the execution. The open world intrigues me, but no the driving model.
Interesting read. It wasn't the best-received game I've ever seen, but some interesting stuff came of it, and there are a few things in there I hope other MMO devs have learned from.
Raids are and were a dreadful idea. They reward work rather than fun; they're annoying and pretty much the opposite of enjoyment. While I have no problem with them being in there, I think it's a terrible idea to reward players who do them with better equipment. A challenge is one thing, but the challenge should be something that almost everyone can *attempt*.
What's with the lack of AA on that lighthouse?
Heh. "A little longer than anticipated." I don't think it was meant to be a simultaneous launch or anything, but it's still been quite some time since AoC came out.
I like how he rails against "misguided" prototypes of Syndicate revivals, considering just how bad Syndicate Wars was. Although did Cooper actually work on that?
"Coming out of the closet"? Really? You say it like it's something to be ashamed of.
Malfurion: Barring Final Fantasy XI, of course. And Final Fantasy XIV. And the forthcoming Champions Online. And...
No really big surprises. Well, I wasn't expecting Prototype quite that high, particularly compared to Sims 3, but...
I don't think anyone saw that coming.
If the controls work, the that might be enough to revitalise the series sufficiently for me to purchase it, even if everything else is just like the other games. And it seems the controls do, indeed, work...
And now I just need to get paid so that I can afford this ;/ Want. So much.
He's not wrong, let's face it. Even Bullfrog's actual Syndicate sequel - Syndicate Wars - was a steaming pile of faeces.
I'm staggered by the constant support this gets, and the amount and quality of the updates. Compared to most other games of the same ilk, and how long it takes for something new to roll around...
So people are panicking over nothing again? Do players honestly think that a company restructuring is going to kill the game just as they're releasing a huge content pack? Sigh.
That's rather pretty. Still not sold on the game, but... damn if that satellite view doesn't look impressive.
They've got some nice stuff in there, aye.
I haven't had a chance to try this yet. Thoughts, anyone? I mean, isn't this meant to change AoC and get it properly fixed up?
Eh, that's about what was expected. Very much something for people who already knew they were going to like it, really.
