It depends. PS5 can run PS4 games much faster, I think even games, that run on Pro in 4K30 should be playable on PS5 in 4K120 - because architecture of GPU is faster per TF. But new games will have more details, better LOD, higher draw distance, so maybe we will see more games with dynamic 4K on PS5. But from my point of view, if you are not pixel peeper, you cant recognize difference, especially not in motion. So it doesnt bother me in any way.
Of course, if you dont have enough ram to put it all there. Think.

I think Sony can be more aggresive with digital version price. And then regulating margin by ps store sales and offers. It is known for long time (or it is long speculated thing), that MS is developing two tiers of new xbox. Sony didnt want to cripple PS5 power, so this can be smart way to have full power with cutting discs because of second hand market. If thats the way - I like it. Consumer can choose which way he/she wants to go.
I like BC, but from my experience, you usually get back to one or two titles. And its more important during gen transition. But now games on current gen look so good, that BC is Very interesting option for People who hadnt XO or ps4. But BC two gen back is nonsense. Even on pc I barely play old games (only TTDX LOL :-).

People will know nectgen is coming, when they see it on their 4K TVs, have DS controller in hands and headphones on their head. Even if PS5 does 8K with 120fps, for many people it is not nextgen - mainly when looking on 1080p30 youtube stream :-).
People dont understand, generational leap should be measured from OG PS4. And thats FHD vs UHD with more details and maybe better fps. So thats a huge leap! Of course more resolution, less people notice difference. From 4K to 8K despite 4x more pixels, most people dont even notice, because they dont have 8K TV or they have 75" or smaller TV.
Thats not true. You will get hdr on fullhd without any problem. And if you dont have at least 55" TV, 4k doesnt bring anything.
I think if XSS is same like XSX but in fullhd instead of 4K, than its perfect move from MS. Certainly there are people, who buy PS5 and have only FHD tv. Im curious, how Sony plan to counter that on hardware/price side.
Seems like PS5 with disc will be 500 and digital edition 400. Discless version will be probably loss for Sony but with promise, user will buy digital games and spend more money in ecosystem (no game resale). If discless version is 400, it will be very tempting for users not needing bluray drive.
I understand that. But this is given. Its same like if you own disc on ps4 and Sony create ps4 Digital, you cant play disc version of games. It has nothing to do with Bc. That was my point. Disc versions have diffeferent Skus. Its technically different game. So there is only problem of owning. If you own many disc games, you need to have console with disc reader, thats logical, isnt it?
They offer both ways. If I didnt want ps5 also as br player, I would buy Digital version.
I dont understand one thing. Ps4 games are in PS store. If there is Bc, you can simply download game to ps5, right? What is Bc has to do with discs? Does anyone think, that Sony will not allow to simply download ps4 version from store, if you bought it? That would be major disadvantage. I think its complete nonsense.
Did you notice, there was also disc version presented? If you dont like Digital way, buy disc version. For some people, if Digital version is cheaper or has larger ssd, that could be better. I have some discs, but majority of games I have Digitally (10 discs vs 400 Digital games).
BC with psvr1 !!! Pro even renders PSVR games in higher res and scales down, so there will be no problem to have much better clarity with better headset.
It doesnt look good. Its beautiful! But its very stylized design and I understand some conservative people thinks it looks bad. And theres nothing wrong about it. Sony obviously wanted to wake emotions in people. And that was successful. MS is more conservative here. Its black brick which does its job. No surprise here or there (in terms of design).
Sonys design can be also in conflict with peoples home furniture. It just blows anything away.
For me its different. When you see lot and lot of reviewers to give it 10, you simply try to understand why somenone gave it 8. It has to be personal. If you objectively try to mark something, it usually has value, where most people agreed. Most people agreed on 10 (or 9,5). 8? It seems like someting didnt cope up between the game and reviewer. If there is personal resistance to violence, it should be reviewed by somenone else. It was known that game will be violent.

Rockstar makes one of the Best games. Do you know guys, how much time it gets to make game like rdr2? Its huge investment. Shawn Layden recently commented, that business case of nowadays big games is not given because of Very high production cost with same price of the game on market.
