Sony is much more consistent with predictable message to gamers. MS isnt (or it changes every gen). So it depends on svereal factors:
1)How many people buy according to brand - I think Playstation brand has much higher momentum.
2)How many people buy according to power - MS will have slight advantage here this gen
3)How many people buy accordgin to great exclusives - here Sony has its edge
4)How many people need more casual things - like media functionality...
I know exactly what he is writing about. Digital hoarding in great sales, many unfinished games.... I usually play to end big AAA exclusive games (like spiderman, god of war, days gone, horizon zero dawn, etc...) then AAA expected games (like doom /eternal, wolfenstein) and then only few indie games (like recently what remains of edith finch). But I have so so so so much in my backlog (one example of many: really great and fun game Shadow of mordor and the other part - I dont know its name - ...
I understand it with HDR. But what about graphics quality isnt streamable? I also understand, that dualsense feeling isnt transferable through youtube. I also understand, that you can buy xbox fridge edition with "Most powerful /powerhouse , etc..." ,have that feeling, turn it on, great opening animation, huge sound effects.....and then you are in menu, where you select game and play. Soooooo. Whats this about? Of course games are about feeling when you play. But this looks like dam...
Exactly! More fps please! When I had an option, I turned on fps mode instead of resolution mode on current consoles.

Exactly! That means you have virtually x-times more free ram to use in next gen consoles. Thats really revolutionary. Every gen, developers fighting low amount on RAM on consoles. This is past now.
I agree that both consoles will hav SSD. Also both consoles support some form of texture streaming without much work required by cpu.
But we dont know exactly, how both solutions will differ in reality.
For example:
1)Sonys 12channel vs MSs 4channel controller
2)Sonys 6 priority over MSs 2 priority requests
3)Sonys IO trhoughput vs MSs one (not transfer speed, but IO)
4)Where really is transfer speed line between "raw" assetts an...
Im still curious about price strategy of XSX vs XSS and PS5.
I think MS can do 100 USD higher XSX vs PS5 if XSS is lets say150 USD lower than PS5.
It could be win win for:
1)people on budget without 4K tv
2)people with 4K tv with money
PS5 tries to do both categories. But if PS5 is close to XSX in terms of real power in games, higher price tag will not justify XSX.

Loading screens aside, its simply better extension of ram. Its much more perfect virtual ram with very fast access. Not only transfer speed is much better but also cpu processing is almost non existent. Its similar to radeon pro ssg card. AMD describes this SSD close to GPU tech this way:

It depends...If you use upscaled 1440p or 1800p - or checkerboarded, there is obviously no visible difference to native 4K. So still you have in case of XSX double TF - but RDNA 2 arch is much more powerful per TF then that in XOX. So we are talking maybe around 3 times faster GPU. That means you can still boost graphics and have 4K60 at the same time.
Other thing is RT. We dont now know, how RDNA2 can handle it.
But what I believe, it should be accomplished in 180...
I have few tips for Sony according to PS5 but I never could call them "MAJOR" problems.
Just cause 4. Cause I bought it as preorder and it was really sub par comparing it to JC3.

Voodoo was great, but they were completely unprepared to T&L era. It was only their fault. I had voodoo 1, 2, 3, 4 . Voodoo 3 was still fine, but tnt ultra was better - especialy for 32bpp. Voodoo4 wasnt that bad, but lack of T&L was very noticeable. I played Max Payne on it, but geforce 2 gts was different beast.

2)wishlist - I am able to wish on web, but I cant see/manage it on PS4 - thats sad I have always go on mobile for my wishist
