$7.5 billion is alot of cheddar even in MS large cheque book.

If the return isn't made in the expected time then heads will roll. Lots and lots and lots of Gamepass subs required, but surely that avenue must be reaching saturation, so how else are Xbox division going to make their money back without publishing on other platforms.
Not much profit on hardware sales, even with that proprietary drive expansion included.
So Phil, what makes you so sure?

C'mon everyone, well all know that in about 6 - 9 months or so MS will release a dashboard update and the Xbox Series X UI will then be presented in 4K.
It will also have Game cards (perhaps called 'Blades'), which allow to give hints to games if the player is stuck. Also picture in picture video from parties and a wealth of other features.

You've just got to give them a bit of time to copy the PS5 UI properly. Oh but with added adverts for Mountain...

1954d ago Show

I can imagine the buyers regret of firing up the Series X, playing Fallout 3 for 5 mins and thinking "oh that runs a bit better", and then trying another game and thinking "oh that loads fast", and then about 1 hour later realising that I'd seen it all before, just this time round a bit faster and better resolution.
How dissappointing.
You can tell me again how much faster it'll make RDR2 perform, but I'm still not going to play through it aga...

Xbox marketing team attempting to return the narrative back to Xbox after all the latest Sony news.

However shows how little they have left in the barrel if they are promising to show more in the final 4 weeks, rather then actually now as this is the final 4 weeks!
Don't announce you have more to show, just show!
All mouth and no trousers as we say in the UK.
Or perhaps, time to put up or shut up!

$7.5 billion is a heck of an investment, the MS high table will want to see a substantial return for that kind of cheddar.

If you think MS are going to plough that kind of money in on the gamble that selling more Xboxes on a promise of next Fallout game in 2/3/4 years or the slight return of Gamepass subs in comparison then you are a deluded fanboy.

MS is a business, the key part Spencer said was looking at games on a 'case by case' basis.
