@Jamal,
Kratos_Kills is the like the supreme commander of the Sony fanboy army on N4G... or maybe he's second in command behind Strong_Man. Not all ps3 fans are always ready to start a cock-measuring contest.. only the immature ones.. like that guy
Not for nothing but this is a pretty bad "wishlist" of launch titles.
-Banjo n' Kazooi - a "kids" game, not for the hardcore IMO.. not gonna sell a ton of systems I don't think
-Fable 3 was a poorly received game and was available in the bargain bin for $20 about 3 months after it launched. I dont hear gamers screaming for another game in the series.
-Halo 2 HD remake - ??? That's a joke right?? Why would an...
I loved the hell out of the action and gameplay, setting and sidequests in Far Cry 3.. my ONLY gripe was the story and the main character to be exact. I Hated having to play as some pampered trust-fund douchebag who, for some reason, is deemed the 'ultimate warrior' by a native island culture, oppressed by pirates and drug running gangs.
Either way, In terms of the overall game, I'm griping about small potatoes.. this really is a game every FPS/open world fan shou...
Kratos_Kills,
Lets be honest, you were never ever excited about the next Xbox. As ususal, you came into this article to troll. All one has to do is look at your comment history..
@ creeping judas
yea, but that's part of the immersion and excitement for many other GRID players. It makes it more of a challenge to race with precision and avoid the temptation to bounce off other cars to make a pass.
Just another reason why Codemaster's shoulda left the cockpit cam in the game.. that way players who still want to use it have the option, and those who preferr third person or the bumper cam have the option as well.
That really sucks :-(
That's the reason why I love games like GT5, the more recent Forza games (after Forza 2 they addd a cockpit cam), Midnight Club LA, PGR series, the Original Grid... etc.
If you're really into cars, and you really want to feel that you're 'in the race', nothing beats the immersion of a nice detailed cockpit view.
As far as racing games go nowadays, most have a cockpit view (the bumper or hood vie...
@ mt - I was gaming on my ps2 well into 2007.. a full two years after this gen officially started. Didn't get my 360 until late '07, following the first price drop to $399.. (back then the ps3 was still $600 and had a small selection of titles available).. I didn't end up getting a ps3 until late 2010 when I picked up my 120g slim for $250..
And even still, i can't nearly find all the time I'd like to play on either console!! Between my wife, two jobs, an...
I've found that Gamers act like ass-clowns when they can hide behind a silly avatar and made up name, or simply launch attacks on facebook from the safety and comfort wherever they are. Anonymity breeds bravado, thus a troll is born.
Often when I go to my local GameStop, I find myself engaged in rational, friendly and civil discussions about games and consoles with GameStop employees and random patrons alike.. But does that ever happen on internet forums or social medi...
I think that a lot of the games that are scheduled to release around the same time as the next gen consoles will be developed on one gen's hardware and ported to another to maximize sales for the franchise. We saw that happen with a number of games around the end of the ps2/xbox1 era.. games like Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell were developed for ps2/Xbox late in those consoles life cycles and ported to 360 with prettier textures when the console released in 2005.
Especia...
@KnightCrawler,
You're not alone..I too am curious about what CoD brings out for next gen consoles, and I think lots of other hardcore gamers are excited too..(although you and I both know many won't admit it).
Obviously Call of Duty is a cash-cow, but If you're into FPS's, CoD games definitley are fun, and I think "fun" is the key feature that many "hardcore" gamers miss when they trash-talk certain games/franchises. Nowa...
I dunno.. tenton might be tied with StrongMan for the "troll of the year" award..
Once again, N4G proves it's NOT a site for gaming news.. Thanks for this useless article that just divides an already polarized website, and thanks to the mods that approved it. Job well done.
So if ANY of you read the article you would know that they are claiming that Treyarch's step towards "next-gen"was adding the feature to live-stream matches using the PS eye camera or the Xbox Kinect camera... NOT A NEW ENGINE
But of course nobody read the article, and know all the instant troll comments are just hilarious, because they have nothing to do with the article.
On-Topic, I don' think the ability to stream matches is a big deal..n...
I would love to see Uncharted 4, GT6, or a sequel to Heavy Rain as launch titles. Either way I'm most anticipating a launch date, so I can seriously start saving some $$. Since they are announcing well ahead of E3, you have to figure that E3 will be where they show off some games and trailers, and that Fall 2013 will be the launch window for the console.
btw, I'm with you guitarded.. many of my friends and my fiancee dont understand my videogaming obsession either! ...
Strongman is BACK, spewing drivel about Xbox. Big surprise.
I'm waiting for the day when you have anything useful to say in an Xbox thread.
It's funny.. Here I was thinking N4G was a haven for Sony fanboys, but this article sure has brought the MS fanboys out of hiding. Can't we all, as hardcore gamers, just be happy for next gen news of anykind!?
On topic - I'm looking forward to whatever Bungie announces and will keep a close eye on it.. Never was a big fan of Halo, but Bungie are talented devolpers nonetheless
momthemeatloaf,
"Sony's finally gained a bit of buzz"
???????????????????
Dude, where have you been since 2006??
Dont get me wrong, I'll be excited for the next Fallout, wherever its set, but I was really excited at the rumors that the next fallout might be set in Boston. In my Opinion Las Vegas and Los Angeles are far overused for videogame settings. If it was set in the Massachusetts area, I think it would do wonders for the game envornment. There are tons of varied ecosystems and terrain types around the Boston/Mass area..everything from urban city to quaint colonial suburbs.. there's ocean...
Hey KratosKills. Dude the "Halo, Gears, Forza" argument is old and weak. Time to put that one to rest. Why don't you go back to the ps3 articles, since clearly you only came here to troll.
People are up in arms about this, but it's OPTIONAL and doesnt effect gameplay or balance. This is a business practice, not some agregious case of selling an incomplete game and charging for the rest. These are'nt even things that everyone will want or need for the game.. It's not like they're selling extra weapons and perks here...we're talking about friggin' gun camos and player cards.
And, if you play most of your games on the 360 like I do, most ...
