Any kid that wants a gaming console should be forced to play NES Battletoads and finish it. Then there would be a little more appreciation as to why smart difficulty is fun, not lazy difficulty like increasing enemy bullet damage and calling it “Veteran”. Nice work Bioshock!

Never seen so much crying over $10. I don’t think these people know what it costs to go out in public for a night of entertainment (you know, where you actually leave your house). I think this game will be amazing without the DLC, but if you desperately need the DLC to make your life complete, then go spend the 10 bucks and stop complaining.
Suggesting they used new characters just to turn the old ones into NPCs is a bit ridiculous. Re-using old characters is limiting, new characters gives a clean slate to put 4 balanced classes together, while allowing new and interesting things. The new characters look great, have a little faith in the development team.

Crytek made the initial Far Cry. Ubisoft milked the name with a garbage game called Far Cry 2 and apparently you all loved it and can’t wait for more. The real follow up to Far Cry was called Crysis.

I’ll take gameplay over graphics, but if you look at a 360 game and the same game on PC side-by-side, I don’t think it’s stupid to demand the 7 year old hardware to be upgraded. The graphics gap is easily big enough to merit an upgrade.
I hope they do, the MW3 maps are awful. Give me terminal, favela, downpour, countdown, highrise, rust, etc.. Make some minor tweaks to freshen it up and then let us play them with the mw3 balance where every 2nd kill isn’t a grenade launcher or commando knife
I can’t believe people aren’t more outraged at this. We’re all sitting at home with nice HD TVs, playing games powered by 7 year old hardware. We needed a new console last year. Not this year. Not next year. Definitely not 2014 when the xbox 360 will be NINE years old.

It’s 20 ‘pieces’ of DLC, not 20 map packs. It has already been stated that some of these pieces could be something small like avatar clothing, but most of them will be multiplayer maps and spec-ops missions. It'll be the equivalent of around 3 map packs, the same as usual.

As a person who is nearly set on buying BF3, I login to N4G and am overwhelmed by BF3 fanboy comments like yours, it actually makes me rethink my purchase. I hope those on the fence realize there are mature people playing BF3, not just the people who comment on N4G.
Jerry, he's just pointing out the mis-information of "1 map pack every month". They have said there are 20 peices of DLC total for the year. I'd take that as 1 map each month making 12 multiplayer maps, and also a couple of spec ops missions, and some stuff that doesn't make a diff to most people like avatar costumes.

The dozen console gamers I know are in their late 20's / early 30’s and play CoD. BF series looks and performs sub-par on consoles, it uses too many resources on large maps, destructible environments, vehicles, and high number of players. Despite what the fans say both franchises do not play much differently from 5 years ago, CoD will continue to be the choice through at least this gen of consoles, as Frostbite 2's awesomeness is useless on 5 year old hardware. Sorry.
It’s funny how Treyarch can skew everyone’s opinion on Infinity Ward. MW1 was a masterpiece, arguably the best FPS release in the past decade. MW2 was unbalanced but really fun and addictive. I think IW deserves the benefit of the doubt, but is not getting it thanks to pile-of-Crap Ops.

Casual tablet apps are not touching core games. Firstly because they are missing a big screen tv, surround sound, game controller, and headset. Secondly, because the gameplay is very basic.
