Yeah more power would be great if it meant better looking multiplats
I like how people post logical discussion in response to questions brought up by PS fans, and they get disagrees with no feedback. PS fans do NOT like it when you make a valid point for the X1, that is for sure .. further disagrees with still no feedback incoming! ...
@Kayant
share button, touch pad, and watching your friends game prior to joining all look awesome. I had the same question awhile ago about X1.. I will have to say I look forward to being able to bring up the sports game picture-in-picture while waiting in the lobby between online matches, and now that kinect is forced (argh) there might be 1 or 2 cool things that come from it. I never tried voice commands in mass effect because i didn't have a kinect, but that actually looked us...
@Legion
Xbox has an online infrastructure that they have been building for the entire last generation via subscription fees. So they have a head start in the online shooter space, with dedicated servers for CoD (like it or not, it’s still popular and gets sales), and they have exclusivitiy (timed or not) for Titanfall. PS4 has some more power, it has better single player exclusives, and PS+ is great. For people that ONLY care about online shooters I think a lot will still end up ge...
FlameHawk.. are any multiplat devs saying this? Can you provide a link please? I do believe the PS4 has more power, but what real life percentage is yet to be seen. If multiplat devs are going to be lazy and not use the extra power and the games look the same side by side, then what is the point? Intelligent responses/discussion/links are welcomed =)
Funny how people automatically think they are talking about PS4 graphical power, but I hope they do take advantage of both systems strengths. With a MMO’esque shooter this means xbox’s online infrastructure should shine.
And if you actually read the article, they are referring to no compromises on next-gen systems because they now have the proper power to do what they want (proper power on both systems).
@ Article Update
Yup, like I said, speculation. N4G eats this stuff up!
Kudos to this site for adding the update though. Nicely done.
An "EA representative in charge", admitting that it should be taken with a grain of salt, from a website named after the PlayStation controller. Why is N4G so desperate for PS validation?? At least wait for some concrete facts. For people on the fence, this site is doing very little in persuading them to buy a PS4.
So 3 people say it looks very good, and 2 people say it looks bad, and you come up with an article title of "People Not Impressed". Makes sense on N4G!
Why would they want to re-code a game that will sell millions of copies at $60? Is that a rhetorical question?
@mewhy32
I’m not a sheep but I do like online shooters. There’s this game called Titanfall and everyone who has played it won’t shutup about it. Plus exclusive content for the Division, plus CoD dedicated servers. Sony has done a poor job showing why Killzone will be better than what I have just listed. And Battlefield is on both consoles. So give me a reason why an online shooter fan would get a PS4?? I have no idea what console to get, so sell me on the PS4 =)
It’s still a coin flip to me because I love online shooters
Xbox live + Titanfall this spring + exclusive content for The Division + CoD dedis VS Killzone + great single-player exclusives + more powerful console that hopefully will be used + PSN value
I’ll be curious to see if there’s any difference between Battlefield 4 on PS4 and X1
Well the xbox does actually have something, i wish we could get some actual reasoning instead of immature comments on here.
I like PS4. everything about it. Except now i look at X1 having titanfall, cod dedicated servers, and exclusive content for The Division. After Battlefield, those 3 shooters are my next favourites. So should I get an X1 or what? Thanks =)
So can someone please explain why CoD multiplayer was a better experience on 360? If it wasn't the sony online services, then was it the way the game was coded for ps3? Or did they not police it as well and it was full of glitchers?
I'd really like to know as it'll effect my decision to change my PS4 pre-order or not.
On the other side of that argument, was battlefield a better experience on the PS3, and if yes then why would that be?
Crap, it looks like xbox might be the place for online shooters? Between Titanfall, Cod dedicated servers (may or may not come to PS4), and I just heard The Division will have exclusive content for X1. I was totally set on getting a PS4, but I really like online shooters so now I may be forced to switch =(
Thanks pivot and zeroskie. What I care about is battlefield, the division, cod, maybe destiny, and titanfall i can wait for. CoD is better out of the gate on X1 with dedicated servers and now i'm worried that other games are going to be dedicated servers on X1 only. What Sony has to catch up on is their server infrastructure, correct? I was a 360 owner and was under the impression that a major game like cod did not run so well on ps3. I want to know that shooters will be on par on PS4...
If all I like is online shooters with friends, it seems like X1 would be the choice? They have Titanfall. I think CoD is stale but they have ded. servers now. I really want the PS4 and not the X1, but I am one article away saying battlefield is better on the X1 from buying one of them. WILL THE ONLINE SHOOTER EXPERIENCE BE ON PAR ON PS4 IN 1-2 years? Will the PS4 catch up?
Your comment is better than most N4G articles
A very large percentage of people on this site don’t like it, but this vocal minority represents a small percentage of people who bought the game and are a fan of the series. Everyone I know that has the game thinks it’s the best one in recent years.
I think ape is just pointing out how good games can look 8 years into a console cycle, and that games on the new consoles are going to be great for years to come. I agree.
