PS4 = better indies, SP exclusives, PS+, and a cheaper price tag. Buy PS4 if you like single-player, or like gaming in general, or like value.
X1 = better offering of online shooters, and kinect. Buy X1 if you have a strong preference to online gaming (especially shooters), or if you are intrigued by the kinect tech.
The multiplats will look great on both consoles so at the end of the day they are both great choices.
I replied to you 10 minutes before your latest post. I never said anything about X1 dedicated servers as an exclusive thing. I said all of the articles written point to the benefits that come with a company that has been building their online infrastructure with 8 years of subscription fees. Once again, go read the articles. I never said anything about Sony not building their online, i simply said they are playing catch-up, which when you are behind that means you are playing catch-up.

Don't listen to me. Instead just read the article at the top of the page. Along with lots of other articles, many from non xbox-affiliated websites, saying all of the great things xbox one will be able to do with online gaming.

I am giving credit where credit is due since the X1 is constantly bashed on this site. xbox online infrastructure is better and it will have an effect on the online games. Saying it isn't better is like saying the xbox has better 1st party exclusives - sounds silly doesn't it?
Seems like the PS fans won't be happy until they prove PS4 is better in every single aspect - even the one area PS4 is clearly behind, PS fans will never admit it.
And why are we supposed to listen to you?? Because you like PS4? We will see how PSN handles the increased CoD numbers this year. And we are not just talking about CoD and Titanfall, but also bigger online games like Destiny and The Division. Surely those games will benefit more from an online infrastructure that has been building for years versus one that is trying to play catch-up

Yup, easy choice. People who love online games especially shooters will pick one console, and people who love single player and indies will pick the other one. Both consoles are very very similar this time around. PS fanboys will be very upset with this statement.

Yes, picking your console based on executive decisions that have since been reversed is strange. Enjoy the games each console has to offer, which to Ape's point are a very similar offering. Neither console is a bad choice, it's just preference. If you can't see that then you are indeed a fanboy.

True, but I wouldn't count The Order, Uncharted, and TLOU as core online shooters. If you are talking about campaigns, then yes PS4 is amazing and everyone knows this. If you are talking about online multiplayer shooters X1 has Titanfall, Halo, Gears, and PS4 has Killzone. CoD has dedis for X1 and all devs will have access to dedis on X1. PS4 has not announced anything on this front for CoD, I guess they won't have them? Battlefield had better be a LOT better on PS4 or else my lis...
Yup. Titanfall, Dedi's for AAA games like CoD, exclusive content for The Division, and EA/Dice are aiming to have the same res for Battlefield, whatever that means we will hopefully find out soon. I can't believe they've somewhat righted the ship after the worst reveal of all time =)
@scott182 – Thank you for the response. But between you and the 5 disagrees you haven’t listed reasons for a shooter fan to get a PS4. Maybe Sono421 and newmonday could fill in some PS4 reasons below? Although I highly doubt they are up to the challenge.
