No worries since its not something they can change on a whim, its built-in. Its not like they can just change their mind suddenly and change the policy around.

Oh, wait. Ffff....

Microsoft still believes their 'vision of the future' is accurate and will still be pushing for it. They just might wait a year or two to gradually push it out instead of slamming it in our face all at once. Kinda makes us the guinea pig for their product future. Either way w...

I agree that they will probably show more Kinect games. Which they should, IMO. A lot of consumers feel like they're being forced to pay more for the console just to get the camera which a lot of them feel like they don't particularly want or need.

Microsoft should display some cool games that utilize it in such a way that makes us go "oh, alright, that looks good, maybe having it won't be so bad after all, Im starting to see its value."

Honestly I believe the Xbox 360 fans were the largest source of rage for Microsoft lately. They were a lot more upset with their previous policies then any Sony fanboy, understandably.

Humorously enough during that timestamp there were practically no one commenting in defense of Xbox. Now that the policies are revoked people are back to defending it. Microsoft weren't the only ones to perform a 180.

The real question is out of all of these exclusives how many are truly exclusive and not just "console exclusives".

As in, what titles are you literally only able to play on the Xbox One? Because I imagine most of these titles will be on PC as well. Yeah. PC plays games too. Just saying.

I imagine Plus users will be seeing a lot of freebies using Gaikai. PS Plus member? Heres a couple PS3 games free to stream. I can see that becoming a thing, especially on PS4 since PS3 games would be considered lastgen. Plus is already a great service, a few freebie streams would only make it better. It'd also help offset one of the only 'cons' of Plus subscription: running out of HDD space due to all the free games you get.

I'm not even exaggerating on that...

When viewing this in the browser and not directly selected the preview image is significantly smaller. Like a quarter of the size, I'd say. Infact when viewing it indirectly (not having selected it to see the larger version but rather list-view) N4G cuts out the "Po" of podcast. So you only see a little tiny "dcast" tucked under the temperature reading. Where as the much larger font "Firmware Update" is not obscured at all and is very easy to see.

The title in conjuncture with the choice of preview picture on this submission is horribly misleading on first glance.

Yeah but, and correct me if I'm wrong, the first time they showed Killzone didn't they upload the whole thing to youtube using the Share feature? This was at the PS4 announcement before E3. Though I get what you're saying, I don't think they ever directly said youtube. Perhaps Im just not remembering it clearly though, seems funny they would not mention it, its kinda a big deal.

As for Twitch, don't they have some kind of deal with Microsoft already?

One important detail however is that while you can play offline now you still need internet to play the console. They say you can go offline forever and play AFTER you do a one-time check in. Connect it once, check in, you're good to go and never need online again. But if you dont have internet at all you're still kinda screwed.

Confirmed... again. Didn't we know about this the first time it was showed? Like before E3, even?

Still good to be reminded about, I guess. Can't wait to play it myself.

@UNGR

I see someone follows Fox news.

How is life inside your bubble?

The really funny thing is that most of the games on the Xbox, those 'exclusives' that people would be willing to get a Xbox for, as if they had no other way of playing the game, are also on the PC. Very few of their 'exclusives' are really exclusive. Same cannot be said of their competition, Sony, who's exclusives are actually exclusive.

4609d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Didn't they also say "after a one-time-check" you could go offline indefinitely? Which of course still means... need internet. No matter which way you look at it the One still requires you to have an internet connection. It's just being a bit more sneaky about it now. Pity the poor chap who has no internet who buys the One only to find out its a useless brick to him.

"But I thought they removed the policy?!"

Am I supposed to feel disgusted and insulted by the video? Because I kinda do.

Good for Sony fans but even better for Xbox fans.

Personally its too late to be redeemed and I'm not going to be trusting Microsoft for a while. I'm sure there are tons who were relived and forgive them and came back under their wing of service, though. Good luck to those who do - hopefully Microsoft doesn't pull anything sneaky or underhanded to bring back these policies they been defending and trying to keep since the beginning.

They say that t...

Honestly this is more true than most fanboys want to realize. While certainly not all but a large number of Xbox 'exclusive' games are not really exclusive since they also tend to release on PC as well. They just don't consider PC a console (obviously) so they tag the console version as an exclusive.

While its true in the sense of being the only console version, it can be a bit misleading when you consider that you can indeed play the game on something other than...

You're right. It was Sony who did it. Not the tons of preorders that were in Sony's favor, not the days of non-stop articles and complaints from consumers, not the fact that it was even brought up on national television where 'normal people' were told it couldn't play used games and of course nothing to do with gamestop handing out fliers to 'warn people' about the One's policies. That was all trivial. Thank you, Sony.

You're right. My mistake. Not sure where I heard the bit about singleplayer from though - could had sworn I heard about it in an interview of somekind. Thanks for the heads up.

Considering Mass Effect is my personal favorite gaming franchise ever created, I should really be more excited about this. Except everytime I think of a new Mass Effect I'm reminded of the ending and I'm left feeling betrayed and disgusted. Suppose its a good thing I'm not excited anyway since this thing is probably years away from actually being made.
