"Kojima Productions currently trying to explain to the marketing team exactly what the hell it is they are promoting."
Take 2 would be an expensive buy... the GTA games rake in billions reliably. Exclusive GTA6 would definitely send massive shock waves through the industry.
@DaDrunkenJester - Same reason people demand a girl recite random trivia about some aspect of geekdom she claims to be a fan of...
You can always tell the ones who have never really played VR by their comments.
refresh rate as well... PSVR's 120hz screen works wonders on easing eye strain.
As close as Mexico will ever come to paying for a wall. As close as the wall will ever come to actually being built.
@slish What does not wanting to buy hardware that is overpriced and restricts what you can do with it have to do with being a "coddled millennial"?
2 is king.
@vallencer
"You may be able to get there with an AMD build" ... Xbox IS an AMD build.
PS4 is aging and about to be replaced by a new generation, so pretty much everyone that wants a ps4 has one by now. It's about to go into the bargain bins, while switch is still a relatively new system with a wide open install base to appeal to. PS5 will quickly retake the steam PS4 is losing if they play their cards right.
Sony already has a games streaming service... and it offers BC with PS3 games already. It also has a game pass style download system. Sony also has patents for hardware level emulation of PS3 and earlier games, indicating their BC plans might be hardware based allowing old discs to be played and maybe even update the textures and such. PS4 backwards compatibility is already guaranteed due to both sharing the X86 architecture.
eh?
Maybe PS5 Pro, but base PS5 I expect to launch in 2020 or late 2019 at the very earliest. Ps4 is getting a bit long in the tooth and sales are starting to slow down.
The good thing is, I did read the article, and HD texture packs have been talked about many times before, however they will only get released for the most popular games, most will still have sub-SD textures.
Rendering a ps2 game at 4k would look like a blurry mess unless than re-created every texture for the game for 4k resolution. The geometry will be 4k (though blocky by today's standards), the textures, not so much.
Says people who have never tried real VR... When I bought PSVR, I was the only one I knew that had it. My friends all tried it. now all of them also have it. I've even had 2 relatives buy it.
One of the best uses of MT's in a FTP game I've seen so far. I've never felt obligated to spend a dime to get the "full experience".
You never know, they could only have them on very large maps we haven't seen yet.
Comments in here seem to be quite different than the reception PSNow got for doing the same thing...
There already are wireless VR systems on the market that achieve 1ms latency at 8k resolution. TPcast does it.
