BS. So called "core" games rarily work on phones (those that do are almost always inferior ports,) they're too complex for phone controls (unless you intend to convince people to carry a controller) and too demanding for phone hardware. It's a completely different market.

It's absurd to compare them. It's like saying "Move over McLaren, the Smart Car is here to steal your throne," or "Move over Fromsoft, Pop Cap is here."

You may have noticed, I wasn't responding to your complaints.

For the record, writing for wether detailed writing for the protagonist is good also depends on what you're going for. Lacking it would hurt FF10, where Tidus is a specific character with a specific personality and specific goals. Adding it wouldn't make P4G better, the entire game is built on the premise that the character is a player proxy within a rigidly defined story about a larger group of people....

"Dreaded" silent protagonist my foot. P4G and P3P and every pre EA bioware game and mother ****ing chrono trigger have silent protagonists, and they're some of the best games ever.

Voice acting a protagonist doesn't make a game better, it can easily make it worse (look at the absurd disconnect between how emotional the FO4 protagonist gets in the main plot after you've spend 4 in game weeks building up settlements and doing faction quests and finding ...

For everyone everywhere (that they're available) video games offer self expression. It may be more meaningful (on average) to some groups than others but that's one of the fundamental things games can offer that other mediums really can't.

That's not the plot, that's not even a key moment in the plot. It's a specific and arguably understated moment in the plot as a result of which side you take in the horribly cliché plot. Try again.

The story is extremely tired sci-fi cliché and not especially well executed, as well as having any semblance of tension undercut by the complete lack of investment in any of the characters involved and by letting your apparently desperate protagonist (based on the dialog and tone of voice) completely ignore the people they're desperate protagonist to find while they build sky fortresses or take a bunch of unrelated mercenary work

In short, it's shallow garbage ...

I hate Kotakus clickbaity BS as much as the next guy, but WTF is wrong with you people? If they have a reputable source it's literally their job to publish that kind of thing. It's not like they broke an embargo or anything. If Bethesda doesn't like it it's Bethesdas job to control their own information to prevent the leak, not punish the news outlet for publishing information they didn't want published. That line of thinking hurts everyone and virtually guarantees that ga...

I'd bet my left hand that this is just a port of the PC version.

No. You don't even need to have played them to know that. He personally made MGS what it is, and when you don't have creators like that in charge you lose their games.

Look at Castlevania and Final Fantasy and Mega Man and Dark Souls 2. Decent maybe but a far cry from the original. Konami will make them, Konami will misunderstand or change everything the fans loved and nobody will buy them.

You're delusional. Have you seen The Last of Us recently?

Omfg no it isn't. It's an arbitrary date that serves no purpose for the customer except maybe to ensure availability everywhere they've had copies shipped. It's also not the customers job to give 2 ****s, nor is it some personal fu to a company who's arbitrary deadlines you are ignoring or entitlement.

I swear to god this person hasn't played Underground 2 or Most Wanter or Carbon, because they all have most or all of those features.

Handhelds will never die because touch only controls for most games are total garbage and extremely limiting. Yes sonic 2 is on android, but let's not pretend it's any good unless you plug a controller into your phone. Further, while you can carry around a controller for exactly that reason, nobody is going to because of the irregular shape and need for an extra piece to attach your phone to your controller.

At worst it will decline to a relatively niche audience wh...

My slim is limping. It has trouble with dual layered disks, which was the beginning of the end for my previous 2.

And that's how you spot a hater you should just ignore everybody. A post that boils down to "your preference is wrong" and inane insults like "scooby doo"

That and it's also so broken it makes Obsidian look good, and it's not Black Flag, and they hate AC unity.

I agree though, at this point they should just name them all Assassins Creed: Again. I was cool the first like 2 times and that time it was about pirates, but after 14 nearly identical titles in half as many years I think I'm good. Hopefully so is everyone else.

Because we don't think SMT: Nocturne is far superior? It askes some deeper philosophical questions and is a better (and definitely harder) dungeon crawl, but I care about the characters of P4 far more, I like that it asks questions and addresses issues more relevant to real life, and I like the social sim/time management aspects and that outweighs SMT: Nocturnes strengths IMO.

I'm pretty sure we've had space sims crafting systems before. Maybe not on this scale but it's hardly a whole new genre.
