Nobody cares. As of right now it isn't an open ecosystem by a long shot. They can make vague promises of it being open (whatever that means) eventually all they want, it doesn't mean **** until it's put in place and we know what the MS definition of open actually is.

Nope. Modern games Auto detect everything so they can run properly. If you don't want to tweak it, you can just use the settings it chooses for you. For everyone else, it's a bunch of stupid restrictions that stops them running the game like they want to.
