I don't feel like this represents most experiences. Do I get harassed or hit on despite my clear refusal? You bet. Am I mostly treated well? Yeah. Like, the decent people are an overwhelming majority, people just don't tend remember them because they don't stand out.
That said, I don't think all female tournaments are the answer. You might make women feel welcome to play games in general, but that wont change the scrutiny from sexists and it will *increase*...
What are you talking about? ALL of Final Fantasy's female characters are more than just damsels. They aren't all strong or independant (which is a good thing,) but they are all way more than eyecandy. Considering the 8 bit roots, it woulnd't even make sense for them to be eyecandy, and considering that the sole strength of the FF series and JRPGs in general compared to other types of RPGs is the writing, having crappy characters of any gender just wouldn't cut it. You don'...
I know right? Any research at all would have told people exactly what it was.

Because while asian cultures have a lot going for them in some places, their idol culture is ****ing disgusting. It's like a step or 2 beyond beiber fever, but it's all major idols
I don't agree. The old architecture is hot and power hungry by comparison, but it's actual performance is fine...when Nvidia/the devs haven't crippled it with some nonsense like extreme tesselation on minor or unseen details (like sub surface water) that produce no visual improvement but butcher the performance of AMDs cards cus they weren't designed to handle that. AMD includes driver level tessalation overrides to stop it, Nvidia moves on to hairworks to bog down cards or ha...
Well, no. Not necessarily anyways. if Nvidia decides to implement ineffective or obtuse software that doesn't add to the game but deliberatly hamstrings AMD products (which they've done more than once,) AMD can't do much about that. I mean they can sue, but only if they can prove it's deliberate sabotage in court, and even if they *do* prove it, it might not help. It only takes a couple high profile games that run like crap on AMD hardware to do tremendous damage to their repu...
That's what I was gonna say.
I do still have a working physical copy of red just cus, but I haven't played it beyond making sure the battery still works in a long time. Really Heart Gold and Soul Silver are direct improvements in every way. Those are the ones people should be playing if they want to relive the old games. Fire red and leaf green might seem like the obvious choice, but they're pre physical/special split so the balance is all kinds of wonky.
@Wrex369
I can be positive and excited. I'd like to play Grandia 3 again, but it's definitely not because of the story.
It's not just me either, IGN, gamespot and Xplay all mention that the story is mediocre at best and more than one review mentions that you don't actually get to use any of the interesting characters except your mom (no pun intended) and the demon sailor guy.
The combat is argualbly the best in the genre to this...
1) They already did nail Sonic in 3d, it's called Sonic colors.
2) No, no I did not. I want 2d Sonic. Every 3d Sonic game except colors is passable at best and a dumpster fire at worst and fundamentally misses the point of Sonic games. Sonic isn't about going fast, Sonic is about managing momentum. It's basically a hedgehog flavored marble madness, but with enemies.
I do not play Sonic to play a glorified AAA endless runner, and I definitely...
What?
The story and all but 2 of the characters are ripped straight from the big book of anime cliche and put in game with 0 alterations. It's poorly paced, poorly written cliche garbage unworthy of any praise, it would be unworthy of any mention at all except it actively detracts from the experience. I don't know if it's nostalgia goggles or just inexperience that's convinced you otherwise but nothing about it's story is even remotely emotional when ev...
It was a step back from New Vegas because Obsidian made New Vegas. Those were many of the same people (though not the same company) who had already made Fallout 1 and 2, KotOR 2, Planescape Torment, Ice wind Dale and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. Comparing anything Bethesdas creative talent is capable of to Tim Cain, Chris Avelone or Josh Saywer (among others) is always going to make bethesda look bad, because it makes everyone who isn't naughty dog or lucas arts look bad.

Yeah, it's not like beefcakes in spandex onesies aren't on TV wrestling and swimming on espn, and it's definitely not like both men and women are running around in basically just their underwear on TV all the time. Female (fake) wrestlers that are her inspiration definitely don't wear outfits that sexy or flaunt their sexuality constantly and definitely don't make it onto TV.
OH WAIT.
Check 4:24 of the same video. "It's upscaling, not the true 4k." IE there will be no additional detail, you'll just be able to see the detail that was already there better. For games designed to run at 1080p, you aren't likely to see much if any improvement. That's not running games at 4k, it's doing a slightly fancier version of what many 4k TVs already do when playing sub 4k content.
@DanzoSAMA
You didn't pay attention. That video specifically states they're using a GTX 1080, which is significantly better than a 980ti. If a GTX 1080 (which costs 650 bucks bare minimum) isn't doing 4k 60 then neither is a Scorpio, no matter what they put in it. Unless they expect people to pay 800 bucks a console or finally start letting console gamers turn down settings to get higher framerates, it will cap out at 4k 30.
1) Then explain why it also looks worse on PC. Yeah, that would be because the lied.
2) You cannot use a specific example (in this case, CD Projekt also lying) to say that no games looked like they were advertised to look. (I'm usually a pretty big fan of CD Projekt but there is no way around the dishonest advertising there.) Need for Speed Rivals looked the same. Madden looked the same. Trine looked the same. Injustice looked the same. It's not rocket science.
There was never a need. It's a space sim, it's always been a space sim, it was always obvious that it was a space sim. You do the same stuff you do in every space sim, except this one has an out-of-cockpit mode so you can do variations on those things, but on land.
It's the same as it's been since games have had enough memory to have actual stories. Some games push the hardware as far as possible, some games put gameplay above all else and some games are entirely focused on lovingly crafted stories and/or worlds.
AHHHHHHHHHH
STOP. SAYING. PC. GAMING. IS MORE. EXPENSIVE.

You don't go out of the way to protect women because some might not stick with it. You don't FIX the divide by *increasing* the divide. Momentum for making something tolerable is not gained by creating a special place for just that. At best you're intentionally advocating for "seperate but equal" and thinking that will help (because for some reason this time is different) and at worst you're arguing for special opportunities and exclusive rights, which is the exact o...
